Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good morning K-Posse!

What are we up to?
Kaila, sounds like you're off to a good start.

Right now, chicken parts are in the saute pan for my dog.
I still haven't made soup, but I'm determined to today.

Rained overnight here Kaila, with more predicted for today. How about your place?
Oh my gosh! That picture is wondrous!
After visiting the serene location above, that @StarSong found for us,
and taking photos from afar, of those wild cats that @Rossana showed us;
and after having some coffee served by @Medusa as above, and breathing in peace, as with @CallMeKate above;

Then let's go to this magical meandering path of tulips between trees!

Thank you all for the comforting and encouraging posts!

Yes, it was rainy and grey, most of the day here too, RR;
And I hadn't sleep well overnight or nearly enough, due to overdo on Friday again, and stress..:oops::rolleyes::confused:....

But today, I just did each small task at a slower pace, and addressed each thing I needed to undertake today, including a much-needed nap, and trying to eat well.

I didn't go outdoors or drive to anyplace, today, so that helps me to relax more, and not be attempting to function at, or push myself beyond, my physical limits.

Therefore I could manage to do a few hall walks for p.t. type of exercise, which I cannot add into the days filled with medical appointments and/or non-medical errand days, when I am already overloaded and stretched thin.

There's still a lot for me to learn about how to balance all that's needed, now that both dh and I have some new or different difficulties and challenges.

Thanks to each of you, for walking some of this path with me.

Happy Sunday, K-posse. It's 4:25 a.m. Who's snoring? I know it's not @Pinky because she's most likely awake looking for coffee :coffee: like I am. Is it finished brewing yet, Kaila... I'll bring croissants!

I'd love croissants and some of those morning hugs but not at 4:30 a.m., Kate!😬
And I don't have coffee perking at that hour either!🤨😏

😁🥰😄
Good morning, at 10a.m. now.

The coffee is perked now, but I drank most of it before I got online and read your post. 🤭🙄☺️I'm sorry!😄😀🥰

Good morning, Kaila and chums :)

It sounds like you have found your pace @Kaila. Though life can throw us challenges, there is usually a way to meet them.

Keep on, keeping on 👌

Thank you for that encouragement.!

I'm trying to find a pace and amount, that I can maintain, but honestly I haven't figured it out yet. And each day includes unexpected challenges.
I'm having trouble not going over my cumulative total that I can manage.

I thank each one of you, for the support and encouragement!

Happy Sunday morning, K-Posse. A small amount of rain fell here overnight. When I was growing up in a couple of northeastern US states, I detested the rain. So annoying for children who wanted to play outdoors and teens worrying about arriving at school looking like drowned rats.

But having moved to Southern California, where we average 29 days of precipitation a year (seems like less), I soon missed it. Over the years I've come to treasure and enjoy rainy days for what they are: Mother Nature's sprinkler system. Granted, sometimes she gets carried away, but all in all she does a fine job.

I feel ya; I grew up in Southern CA and it seemed we either had no rain or it was a monsoon and the streets were flooding.

Most rain comes in normal amounts - perhaps 1" - 2" of rain throughout the day, but the monsoons do tend to stick in the memory.
They do; I can remember arriving at school with my pants wet nearly to the knees from trying to get across flooded streets. :/

You know, you'd think LA would have had better street drainage.

Depends where you live. My area is quite good - never had any flooding in 40 years here. The lowspots of a valley or areas where the LA River is getting close to the ocean can be a different story.

Must be it; I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and it flooded like crazy during heavy rains. But that was back in the 70's so it's probably different/better now. :)

EDIT: 70's & 80's
