Good Morning, Everyone. 🤗 🌻 :coffee:
I woke kind of "down" this morning and I don't know why. Having some coffee and waiting for my mood to lighten, which I'm sure it will.
Hope everyone is feeling good and enjoying excellent coffee.

Working on the last of my pot of wake up juice.

SO wore his bear bolo today. Looks sharp but it normally means something is brewing. Curiosity will almost kill me by the time he comes home.

Need to find a new dentist. There seems to be an epidemic - dentists add Invisalign and similar products to their services and drop BC/BS due to billing.

Energy is still hiding. Where are you my friend!

I love zinnias as easy come in amazing colors but for some reason even though I water alot never had any cosmo seeds grow .

In Georgia your soil is very good but as you know in Florida it is terrible mostly sand , rocks and some soil so I only use pots .

I plant a lot of zinnia and marigolds .
French Marigold Seeds - Dainty Marietta | Flower Seeds in Packets & Bulk | Eden Brothers
These may be a good Cosmo substitute. I have them in tall and solid yellow. Feathery leaves, prolific bloomer until first frost.

Thank you

Eden Brothers and American Meadows are where I order from as they sell in bulk as far as ounce or more .

The only several seeds in packet companies are absurd plus my germination rate with Eden Brothers and American Meadows has been great .

I'd made up my mind to plant the dianthus. Then I checked the temp on this lovely sunny morning. It's 40F but with the wind, the feels-like temp is 33. Nopity nope. Tomorrow's another day.

It's TV and laptop solitaire for me...and laundry. It's Thursday. Laundry.

I started working out again and hate it but do it , do not get me wrong I'm no Arnold Schwarzenegger never was but as you know exercise is good so days I go which unfortunately is today , lol I take Rhodiola Rosea with my coffee and hour later do feel it .

I got into off beat supplements some time ago and my experience has been most grossly overrated and most do not work but this works .

I reduced my hip arthritis ALOT with them and I am on the floor under sinks about 5 days a week .

I am no Doctor just a retired plumber who tells bad jokes and laughs at them so have no idea how it interacts with meds if you take any but yes it is a real coffee mood booster . I only take it 2 or 3x week max so I do not get used to it but coffee I NEED EVERY AM .

Rhodiola rosea, and its effect on memory, energy levels and depression. He also compares it with Ginseng and explains why Rhodiola might be a better choice.

  • Reduces anxiety levels
  • Improves Cardiovascular health
  • Improves immune function
  • Increases sexual enhancement
  • Regulates menstrual cycle
  • It’s one of the best natural anti-depressives
  • Enhances memory, mental clarity, alertness and concentration
  • Increases energy levels
  • Helps with Jet Lag

Sad indeed .

@Rae
Mother spanked kid in public? Bad, very bad. IMO
She first threatened the child with a belt but had to use her hand. The child was misbehaving but the mother seemed to ignore him until he was upsetting people in the restaurant. I don't know why this child was unruly but it wasn't a pleasant experience to watch. He was little but able to run around and yell loudly. He even grabbed ahold of me but I just let him go as not wanting to get involved.

The 6th of the month - pension day. 6th. of the month, use pension money to pay the bills, result - no better off.
Helped Mrs.L with some baking, cleaned the stove and brought in some logs and kindling. At least it's getting warmer so we don't burn as much wood now.
Did a bit more garden fence painting and started to prepare lasagne for dinner. I think that will do me for today.

Sounds like you had a full day so far.

funnily enough I paid off all my credit cards this morning... not because it was pension day because it wasn't and tbh there was less than £500 total to pay on 3 cards ... but I wanted to just clear everything all at once enetering into the last phase of the divorce..

I can not keep up with this thread! Miss a few days and you're completely out of the loop!

Son and I went to the Hong Kong Buffet for a pre-Lenten blow-out and I was repaid for my gluttony with food poisoning -- six hours of continuous trips to the bathroom and in bed all day yesterday. But today! I have the wonderful, euphoric feeling after being sick and completely purged!

It all just gave me extra sympathy for @Oldeagle66 and his nauseating infusion of chemo he's going through right now.

@dilettante said he had a bad dream about some woman on the internet who annoys him and I wanted to know if it was me. :D
He also asked if anyone drops in without calling these days and I think not. I hate that. I used to love it when friends dropped-in for a cup of tea and the latest news. Not having a cell phone I don't feel free to drop-in on friends who live close to where I'm shopping, either.

Have a good day everyone!
Della yukkk.. food poisoning.. horrible... :(...I know what you mean about people not dropping in any more.. this house used to be a veritable friends zone.. now everyone texts..hardly even email any more either just whatsApps or texts... meet you at a location for drinks or lunch ...no-one comes to the house unless they're specifically asked..

We call them Flea Markets here. Many Vans and Cargo trailers show up and hold sales in rural towns mostly.
I bought the grandson a ball cap last year at one and the Wife found Plastic shopping bag holders. I look
at Cast Iron stuff. Lol

Important thing with a garage sale is pricing stickers and markers. Ty-raps for large Xtra stuff too.

For an in-home sale, Garage sale, removing stuff from boxes, pricing them individually usually takes all week.
A basket and a rope works well getting stuff from the loft to the Garage floor, you're not lugging 50 + Lb boxes.

We do the sales Friday and Saturdays. Advertise it and hang posters on poles. The more traffic on the street,
the better the sale usually here. Having lots of shoes walking thru the house is a no / no. Garage and drive
work well. A wagon works well to move stuff. There are actual people who do it but its costly. You might
care for the back pain best though. Have a great plan for what you're doing with your sales cash is how you
make it thru the week. Hell week 2. Then ya have the clean up after. Lol.

We did a $40,000 addition to our Lake Home.

Maybe you could use the money you make from them for some type of nice vacation........on him. 🏝
it's just going to be difficult to sell them, because everyone wants something for nothing...

Funnily enough I was looking at holidays just the other day.. there's some bargains flights to be had if I go in march.. but I don't want to go in march, lol

in the Uk she would be arrested for that... you cannot use physical punishment on your child here now ... in one way that's a good thing .. but in another it's allowed children to be disrespectful, not give a monkeys how they're behaving.. because they know they can't be physically disciplined, and I can tell you it's nightmare sometimes in Stores or restaurants , even bars.. where kids are allowed to run around screaming genrally being disruptive and their not checked by the parents

Great pics and nothing beats the smell of farm as smells fresh and just nice .

Granted would not want to live by a packed to the core chicken farm but a farm like your neighbors is nice .

Do you buy anything from them like eggs , pork , etc ?

Holly, Here one needs a permit from the City to hold a personal property sale.

If you have an open indoor space, say 1st floor of the barn, one could
rig up some shelves sitting on Cement blocks and do a Sale of the Tools and Stuff.
Mechanical or Carpenter they could fetch a tidy sum if they are in decent shape, not rusty.
Bring down an armload at a time, or rig a bucket with a rope to cut the stairs trips. A good
framing Claw Hammer costs $15 _ $30 +.

I did a Whole house indoor sale some15 years ago, sitting The 4 solid wood doors off their hinges on blocks with cloth.
The Home stuff, lights, chairs, beds, tables, pots and pans, dishes and spoons forks knives. 2 Snow Blowers, Mowers
Garden tools, Brought Near $8000. 2 Vehicles another $10,000. A Couple reliable friends could make it work.

That can make your move tolerable.

Sold the Brick home to relatives for $90,000. Only costs to me were setting up and trips to Goodwill with some ending donations.
4 X the Wife ran the cash to the bank so to cut down on robbery opportunity. Altheimer's here is nasty. My
Neighbors' wife died a year ago January from it. She could answer a question Yes / No. All else was bird talk.
We all found comfort in the thought she was an intelligent bird in another life.
'' Holly, Here one needs a permit from the City to hold a personal property sale."

It is enforced ?

In theory same here but never enforced .

Busy— in a laid-back way— today

Visited Ed. (We are reading Catherine Marshall’s “Christy”)

Walmart for a few things

homemade and very tasty beef veggie soup at a local eatery; very satisfying on a cold/windy day

At my last Physical Therapy session; it has been helpful

Still some stuff to do at the house but no huge projects. Today is take-it-easy before a long work day tomorrow
