I love writing coffee poetry, so will share here. Do you write coffee poems? Do you have a fav coffee poem written by someone else? You can share here in my diary. I don't think most people write or see much coffee poetry, so I have a feeling that I may be the only one sharing it here. I hope my diary will inspire you to write some. You don't have to include an image.

COFFEE, THE WARM FRIEND

Coffee is a warm friend

Who asks no favor

Or sacrifice.

It fills our beings with a feeling

Of well-being.

As we sip, we say, "Ah-h-h",

And settle down to peacefulness.

Even when it scalds,

It is welcome.

Even when bitter,

It is sweet.

The warmth seeping into every pore

Makes contentment complete.

LIQUID BROWN BLISS

How can you know
Unless you are addicted so.

The smooth, velvet swish
Of liquid brown bliss,
Coating all inner pores
With a soothing balm
Of creamy, frothy joy.
Ah, to savor the flavor
Of mellow ground beans.

There's not enough time
It seems.

SNIFFING

I need my vapors that drift
In willowy wisps,
From the coffee
In the delicate cup and saucer
At my wrist.
I lean and dream
On my breakfast table.
As I sniff
And take a cautious sip,
I am revived.
I am awake.
I am alive.

TALL, DARK & HANDSOME

My coffee pot is my friend.
It's wonderful in that
He asks not what I can give,
But lives to give to me.

His tastes are my tastes.
His desire my desire,
To share a rich, steamy cup
Of liquid conversation.
Heavenly dispensation,
Which he has first tasted
For me.

I'LL FEEL BETTER WHEN I'VE HAD A CUP OF COFFEE

I'm tired.
Can't think.
Want to go back to bed.
Must keep going.
Drag to kitchen.
Place filter
And fragrant brown grounds
Into coffee maker.
Pour cold refreshing water.
Tap switch.
Red light blinks on
In gray morning.
Drip, drip, drip.
Sniff, sniff, sniff.
Pour-ou-our-our.
Stir-ir-ir-ir.
Sip.
Drink.
Think.

That Coffee Bean Bite

Oh-oh-o-o! This is good!
Just slurping the hot libation
That has trickled into the pot.
Savoring
That coffee bean bite,
Makes me feel
That anything is possible
Today.
