Are you secretive about your age?

I've mentioned it here that lately strangers have been asking my age frequently.

Years ago it bothered me to be asked... so I started answering "old enough to know better than to ask a woman her age or weight."

that's the secret isn't it, lol... hang out with older people , they will always think you look young.. and to other people viewing the group, you will definitely look the youngest

I can't hang out with older people. I don't have any "older people" friends . I wouldn't bother lying about being younger; if anything, I'd claim being older.

I have kids older than many of you. DS is already getting SS, and DD will start getting SS next year.

Yes. I am sensitive about my age. Everyone on this forum either knows my actual age or has figured it out. But I look younger than my age and that lifts my spirits so I don't volunteer information.

I just turned 79 and IDK why, but I kept telling everyone how old I am.
Most people thought I was younger.

Never, it never bothered me my age and I have always been truthful about it. Oh, and I will be 70 in a few months. And I look my age. When I was still in my early 60's, people told me that I looked younger than my age. I guess I've gone downhill pretty fast (in looks that is) because no one tells me that anymore.

I am happy to tell anyone my chronological age.

I'm 82 and I look younger than my sister who is still in her 70s. The reason for this is that she lives in Queensland where the sun ravages fair skin. Also, she has been a smoker since she left school.

I also look younger now because, thanks to multiple joint replacements, I am no longer in constant pain. Pain shows in the face and in the way we walk.

I don't worry about beauty treatments advertised to take years off your face. My beauty treatment is a daily bath using soap and water plus an occasional application of Sorbolene moisturising lotion.

My arms and legs testify to my being an octogenarian but are seldom on public view.

they aren't really interested in ya age per se - it's a sorta memory test - see if ya still compous mentous

Hell no! I was when I was in my 40's and also 50's sometimes, but not anymore. I'm 74 for a few more days. Friday I'll start being 75 for a year.

I’ll be 72 next month…..and I had to stop a minute and figure that out! Somewhere in
my late 60’s I started forgetting exactly how old I was, and often have to work it out when asked!

I used to say I was 29 when I was in my late 30s, and some bought that. But nobody believed that when I was in my 40s. Now, next month, I'll be 79, and I look it. So, why lie?

No, I was never secretive about my age. It's who I am, and have never been so vain as to try and hide it. I'm currently 72 and blessed to be still fairly healthy and above ground. Age is one thing all of us have in common, could never see any sensible reason to deny that.

I have an identical twin brother who people guess to be 5-10 years older than me.
For some reason, his hair is almost completely white while mine is mostly dark with just a few white hairs.
I do have a lot of white and gray in my beard.
He does outweigh me by probably 80-90 pounds, so that makes him seem a little older too.

I'm not telling anyone, not one single soul, that I'll be 88 later this year in case they start sending birthday cards and make me feel old, so I'll just keep my age to myself.
