Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I don't dislike Meghan so I thought I would give the Netflix With Love from Meghan a watch and make my own mind up about it.

The home and grounds featured in the series are beautiful but, goodness it's boring and there's little to keep viewers interested. I watched the first episode and some of the second episode before giving up. It just wasn't for me.

Anyone else watched it?

I didn't watch it but I saw a news headline that suggested it's not doing well. I guess others feel as you do. I don't dislike her and the Prince either. If she truly felt that she was being discriminated against (and I've read things that suggest she really was), I don't blame her (them) from removing themselves from the situation.

I think visually it is very polished but there's no real substance or anything which you couldn't see on similar shows, if you are interested in lifestyle blogs or magazines then, maybe but, there are more established lifestyle series on different channels so, it's not a new concept or original.

Absolutely, if they were unhappy, they were right to chose a different path. (y)

Nor do I dislike Meghan, but the series holds little interest for me. It's not my thing. "Lifestyle" shows including cooking shows, Martha Stewart, home improvement, HGTV, etc., bore me to tears.

Completely agree. I'm glad they're happy.

Yesterday, I watched, "Adolescence" on Netflix and it was amazing! There are four episodes, about an hour each and the cool thing is that each episode is shot in one, long, continuous take which really changes the pacing. It was similar to a play in ways.

Also, it was a great story.

Still befuddled by Severance, even after listening to a podcast with Ben Stiller, the creator and director. And even went and read about it on Wikipedia. Stiller and the interviewer kept talking about how funny it is--I have never so much as chuckled at a scene. Obviously I am lost. I understand the metaphor about work lives vs. social lives, but big deal, I still don't get so much of it.

Too many Netflix and similar shows are too long, imo. Unless it’s a well-written show with great actors, the producer and NF should agree to six episodes instead of eight.

Odd series on The Roku Channel called "UFO Files" not to be confused with "UFO Files" from the History Channel or maybe even others.

This seems to be a UK thing, a grab bag of shows dated 2012, 2004, etc. each "episode" at random. Some "episodes" seem to be two shorter episodes jammed together as one.

S1E2 "An Aircraft Mystery" starts out with a pointless thing where some police helicopter saw something at night, but concluded it was some sort of upright cylindrical hot air balloon (???). Some video presented both visible light and IR.

But the second half was on crop circles. Much of it was about separating the many hoaxes from the far smaller number of "real" crop circles. One of these involved some sort of invisible wall that stopped the smoke from a "heath fire" that was burning. People went in, came out, realized they had "lost" 20 minutes of time somehow. Afterward people noticed that the shadows from trees around that field were all cockeyed, pointing toward the crop circle spot on a clear day in full sun.

Probably bunk, because if real that would really be something and not just the subject of some late night TV fare. Sure was eerie compared to most situations I've heard described though.

Happened on a interesting British production named 'Confession'. 6 episodes (one season) with Martin Freeman, lead inspector. I opt for series that can be watched in one night, keep losing my attention & way if it goes for more than one season with fewer episodes.

On Peacock
Tierra de Reyes (English: Land of Honor)

Set in Houston, Texas, the story of the well-raised, humble and hardworking Gallardo brother's quest for vengeance against the wealthy and powerful Del Junco family. When the body of young, beautiful, and pregnant Alma Gallardo is found in the Houston River, her brother's Arturo, Samuel, and Flavio believe the family of her lover Ignacio Del Junco is to blame.

A 160 episodes series. A Spanish language series but it does feature subtitles in English.

I need some sound, Italian or Spanish with subtitles are confusing & distracting to me.

Of course there is sound. It might even help anyone interested in learning the Spanish language. The translation more often than not is close enough to match the words in Spanish to the action or activity.

Understand but there is enough different series on streaming, I can pass. Thanks it's not a show stopper but very confusing to me.

Like 'Reacher', Tom Cruise is not as believable or imposing as Alan Richson.
Heh, heh. Tom Cruise cast in the movie as Jack Reacher (2012) was ridiculous. OTOH I couldn't warm up to Richson as the Reacher character either. I've read a large percentage of Child's Reacher novels, and Richson does not fit my mental image of the character. Richson too super hero type-- like The Hulk or someone. Plus he's a lightweight actor. I watched several episodes but it didn't hold my interest.
