I am glad he is OK. I hope he still is today. The reason I mention it is I fell on my front and braced the fall with my left arm. I thought I was fine until about 3 hours later. I couldn't figure out why my left wrist hurt so bad. I said something around Misa and she said that happened when you fell. Stupid me even forgot that had happened! :)
Paco - how is your wrist today?

Primary Health Care - outback style OZ

I live in what many define as an outback town popn 3.500 - I had occasion to attend my PHC - rang first - said I had no means to get in so they sent a van to pick me up - I live in the middle of a forest! -Arrived in their fully air-conned building recently re-painted - all blue - if suddenly felt cold!

booked in at reception - sat for 14 mins and then saw a health worker who in the privacy of an office took my vital signs and symptoms. Ushered back to the waiting area which is usually milling with others coming in and out. waited for 20mins to see a doc - efficient assessment and treatment agreed - she took me to their inbuilt dispencary and issued me with prescribed medication - as I left this medical environment - I was met by other health care worker/driver - who said "I'll return you home right now Mr Smiley".

But you do have to have some desire to attend - kids running around with their pregnant mums - other oldies like me and all those delightful receptionists with beautifully manners

Had a lovely day yesterday with TGS, which drifted into evening with the rest of his family plus DD's. I was full of energy early on, so while TGS and DH replanted some tomatoes, I dusted the entire house (you read that right @Georgiagranny), swept and washed the floors and straightened everything up.

Made pizza for dinner, as per my older grandson's request for his and my DH's birthday celebrations.

DD made a beautiful, spectacularly delicious, but very rich cake for the birthdays. She's become quite a good cake baker.
I sent her home with 4 pizzas, she left me about 1/3 of the cake. A good swap.

In addition to the more traditional gift they gave DH, the older grands (13 & 10) wrote a little booklet of the latest slang kids are using. It was creative, hilarious and extremely enlightening.

Just woke up, not entirely refreshed but at least I got warm. I think one of the things making me feel punk is the pollen. It's pollen season here, and today's count at noon was already more than 3500ppm. You read that right. But, hey...it's "low" for pollen season. A really bad day is in the 6000 neighborhood.

DD finished the grocery shopping without me and brought me goodies. Blueberry muffins, clementines, chocolate.

@StarSong You did what? The whole house? Why? Easter🐰 is still four weeks away. Did you have my pizza🍕 shipped overnight? It hasn't been delivered yet:(

I'm not one to take stuff but Flonase works well for pollen and I usually just have to use it once and the effects last a long time....weeks.

Beautiful cake!
And what a great idea your grand kids had for a gift. :)

Well today I got quite a it done,.amazing how things pile up when you're too unwell to do them...so I've filled several bags and boxes with items for the Charity donation... not only things from the last 2 weeks, but I really need to do a purge...

I have so many coats and jackets , and most have only ever been worn once or twice. I want to get them onto Ebay but my printer has packed up, so I don't know how I can print out address labels...

Anyway I've been donating for many years to charity shops, and one of our closest ones has just moved to new larger premises, so looking up their opening times, I see that they have a lis of items they will not accept.. Used Bedding, mattresses, baby prams and high chairs , and car seat some electrical items , I can understand... but Ironing Boards ?... Lamp shades, Picture frames ?.. that doesn't make any sense to me...

What will your charity stores not accept in the way of a donation that surprises youu...

This is the list of unacceptable goods in the big one nearest me

We cannot accept:
  • Large items of furniture
  • White goods
  • Carpets
  • Flat pack or disassembled furniture
  • Moses baskets/Travel cot
  • Sharp knives
  • Old plant pots
  • Trouser Presses
  • Highchairs/buggies/baby gyms/baby baths/Potties
  • Child car seats/ helmets
  • Used duvets or pillows
  • Mattresses
  • Wall and Ceiling lights
  • Lamp shades
  • Picture Frames
  • Animal beds/cages
  • Ring binder folders and box files
  • Inflatables
  • Curtains
  • Wire or plastic hangers
  • Toys without “CE Mark”
  • Large garden toys
  • Gas bottles/camping stoves/petrol lamps
  • Oil heaters
  • Microwaves/Printers
  • Chemicals
  • Food and drink
  • Christmas Trees
  • Christmas decorations out of season
  • Wheelchairs/Commodes
  • Ironing Boards
  • VHS tapes

I'm sure they know what they are doing and how to run their business as did you once? some maybe considered dangerous to have around their premises and were does that put them or some just obsolete?? fashions in everything change quickly as is technologies

This morning I revised my brokerage beneficiary designations. Then I had to take pictures of the pages, crop, label and put them on my harddrive. Then I had to crop out the sensitive info on each because the photos stay in Google’s trash for 60 days. Between this and tax preparation, I'm glad I moved all my accounts to one brokerage. It’ll be easier for my son too.

Since I wound up falling asleep before I intended, I didn't sort the laundry last night. I got that done this afternoon. I also finally put away the linens and T-shirts from over a week ago. I’m feeling my ice cream addiction but there’s none in the house, so I’m going to make my low sugar frozen yogurt concoction shortly. That helps with the craving.

Back late last night from a 4 day trip down to London to spend some time with our eldest daughter. We had a great time, walked lots, ate lots (buuuuuurp) and took many photos :)

A bit groggy and stiffening up this morning. Tai Chi class in an hour should loosen me up a bit.
I thought your daughter was at Uni in Cambridge... or was that @Capt Lightning ?

Good Morning, Everyone 🤗 :coffee: 🌻

Yesterday, I had two video appointments, both of which went well and did a deep cleaning project in the kitchen.

With the usual two dog walks (he gets more, but two are mine), it was a productive day.

Husband is off today and tomorrow, which is always good news.

Ooo, today is the day to pot my blueberry bush! 🙂

Hope everyone is feeling well this morning.

I'm still tired, but I at least I slept better last night. We've lost count, but at least 12 cedar trees have been cut down, including the one that we didn't finish yesterday.

Each of these trees are about 30 feet tall, and maybe wide, too! The good news is that, right now, it looks like there is only one more to go!

So far, my only plan for today is to go to the gym, get coffee, maybe go to the library, and bring home a pizza. Once I'm in town, we'll see if any other stops come to mind, but right now it seems like a usual Coosday for me.

After dinner, it'll be another exciting evening of dragging cedar branches, etc. Oh, goody! 🙄

I guess I had better make breakfast, so that I can get to the gym. Actually, it sounds a lot easier than dragging cedar branches!

Off I go......

Yesterday was run back & forth to hospital.

Hubby took me in for my bone density scan.

He was having a skin rash problem on one of his feet.
while I was getting the scan, he went to doctor's office & got an appointment for later in the day.
Doctors offices are in hospital.

Decided since we were 'in town' might as. well get few little things done.

Finally back at doctor's , office (4:00 ).

Doctor looks at. hubby's foot where the rash is.
"I've never seen anything like that.
Not sure how to treat it". !! !!

We ended back at pharmacy to get some cream to put on his foot.

Am happy to say this, morning rash appears to be much fainter on his foot.

This morning so far, has been better than yesterday morning. Husband is just a little sore where he fell yesterday and now walking better with new slippers.

I think sometimes when things go wrong, other things follow in the same day. Well, I guess that is what happens to me.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning. Pain doctor appointment. Experiencing, for over a week now, extreme pain between shoulder blades. Looking forward to getting relief with a cortisone shot or two.

Think I will spend afternoon watching my soaps. Young and Restless. Beyond the Gates.

Read my book By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult for Book Club.

Call damn ACCESS A RIDE for my Wednesday with grandson.

My son, a magnificent Aries male has BIRTHDAY coming soon. It will be on actual day he was born. 45 years ago. Wow. My baby is a middle-aged dad. Best thing, HIM.

LOL..My Aries daughter who is going to be 49 next month, would kill me if I called her middle aged...:ROFLMAO:

Love most of her work. Did you enjoy this one?
I don't care for her and the book theme pisses me off. It's about Shakespeare not being author of his plays. Have always avoided this author. Pseudo intellectual IMO.
I am liking this. I like reading books I wouldn't normally choose for myself. I am a reading whore.
Grandson watches YouTube and one of his people wrote two books. Found out in my library. We will read them together.
