Are all religions just one big con trick?

People leave their churches,yes, and synagogues, but they might still believe in God. Or they change their opinions about God and faith weakens. Very hard to know their beliefs,except in surveys. Iffy.

Is "Are all "faiths" just one big con job?" different than "Are all "religions" just one big con job?" I can't see or understand how it can be taken any other way. What other way can it be construed?

Ya know there is a long held opinion not yet verging on absolute truth that we all "crawled out of the sea" many many moons ago - don't like the feel of that one at all?? slime bags nah! I still like the " created in the image of ................ apart from the biblical one haven't been directed to any other "developmental homo sapien thesis" mind you the thuggish behaviors of some of the youth/ and some of their elders of today leads one to................???

It appears that we can manage to be sane and well mannered and honest without religion ?? seems to be a state of mind heh?? lots of questions not a lot of good answers??

Nb: didn't the scientist postulate that we are only a chromosome or two different from chimpanzees and they can be pretty vicious at times??
 
Bottom line religion is a business that is manmade. Like any business its sole concern is to prosper and grow. Religion relies on donations and tax breaks for expenses and funding for growth and power. Religions are influential and persuasive components of society, creating laws based on tradition. Conformity is key religion and control based on fear, rejection and abandonment.

Religions are not good, they have their own agenda based on years of tradition and control. God is not religion, if you believe god can be found through religious practice, prayer, punishment, worship, and/or inspiration you are barking up the wrong tree. If you truly are seeking godlike peace and understanding start by being completely honest with yourself, look deep within yourself, make amends for your wrongdoings, forgive yourself and start living the life you choose without regret.

Ok I guess I am opinionated but I was trying to explain what I have learned in as simple terms as I could.
Lets say you are harboring some negativity from your past, you may have caused someone pain or perhaps someone caused you pain that continues linger within you? You cannot make a new life for yourself with unresolved issues or pain. This is why I suggested looking honestly at your life, forgive yourself and forgive others who wronged you.
Forgiveness means you have a clean slate, free and clear.
Now choose the life you want live, don’t do anything you will regret and live your life like you want to.
Notice this is the same formula found in the Bible, with the exception you are forgiving yourself, you don’t need Jesus or the Bible to have the life you choose.

there are other ways to achieve a greater understanding and awareness of life, if that is your way perhaps you will share as I have

enlightenment can be like a electric light bulb {globe} sometimes faulty that comes on goes off and sometimes flickers with uncertainty - for it to stay on needs a lot of good investment
 
Enlightenment is the ability to see in the dark.
Oh gawd to be enlightened most truly means you know? Know what? Nothingness that’s what you know. True enlightenment is an escape mechanism from what you are told to believe. like religion.
 
I cannot stand those Bible-thumpers that shout and carry on trying to make you believe in what they are trying to sell you. Asking you to donate
your money whilst they are living in luxury. Jesse Duplantis asked his followers to donate $54 million to buy a private jet so he can spread the
word of the Lord, he also owns 3 other jets. I cannot stand these conmen, and those poor gullible people who fall for their claptrap. I read the other day the Trump's spiritual advisor is asking people to donate $1,000.00 and she will give you your own personal Angel???????
 
What does it do for you, the ones who ask are all religions just one big con trick? Does it help you sleep at night to get that
burning question off your chest or does it help you feel superior that you are the fearless one on this planet that would dare

No, that's not what I meant to say. Wasn't meaning to call you 'opinionated', Mr. Ed. Just meant to say it's all subjective.
