Sounds like serendipity via the laundry room. 😊
It's funny you should "say" that Hearlady. We were talking about how it was serendipity the night before you posted your reply! In fact, we joked (but maybe not a joke) about how we will collaborate on a song called Serendipity. He was also blown away when he discovered that one of his birds has the same name as a word in one of song titles.

Welcome to the Great Minds Club Hearlady 🤗

Yesterday was another interesting day. I finally sorted laundry and put last week's away. I spent too much time looking for a case of Microban I bought in November. How does one lose almost an entire case of Microban??!! I spent some time on the phone with my online bestie, who is an expert genealogist (also my video producer). I made her a collaborator on my Ancestry account so she can help me with discoveries and managing the pages of mind boggling information. She really knows how to do a deep dive to uncover layers of information. She even told me about a free site that will pull up additional information based on DNA info uploaded that Ancestry charges extra for.

It seems I have a half sister that I've never heard of. I have to go back in and see if she's still on Ancestry. If so, I'll message her. Years ago, my sister and I said we wouldn't be surprised if we had more siblings out there because of the kind of man our bio father was. She's also a half sister (discovered in 1998), but we never have referred to each other that way.

Last evening, my son and I finally got to go to the apartment of "Mr. B", the neighbor I encountered in the laundry room a week ago. As expected and happily, so he and my son really hit it off. The music collaboration we discussed that day has begun. We listened to more of his tracks and identified the ones we'll work on first What a talented young man he is! He's also a writer, poet, voice actor and radio host who's working on his PHD. He's in the medical science field. His apartment is beautifully decorated and we were so impressed by his studio, how he turned a coat closet into a recording booth and the storage closet into a library.

He had mentioned us guesting on his radio show while in the laundry room. Last night he wrangled me into doing that a week from today, but the main topic will not be music....it will be various conspiracy theories. I told him UFOs should be included. He was intrigued by the information I shared about that subject and happy for the suggestions as to where to research different theories. So I've got some research of my own to do and need to refresh my memory about accounts I've heard and saw on UFO docs over the decades.

G'morning folks..... 🌞 🌞 🌞 another glorious sunny morning.... It's coming up to 10am..i've got all the windows and back door open, except for the window right next to me desk, it's still a little too cold for that to be open yet...

Today is resting day, whether indoors or in the garden my back is killing me...in fact the pain in my back is what got me out of bed ...

I'll get a heat pad on and relax the muscles.. (y)

Have a good day foks.. hope the weather settles for those of you who have had storms

Yesterday turned out so warm that the washing all dried in the sun - no tumble dry needed :)

Most of the plants have survived winter but, I might splash out on some geraniums - they are hardy and you can get so many different colours - or maybe fuchsias - or maybe I should take inspiration from @Georgiagranny and spend the inheritance money at the garden centre ;) and just buy lots :)

Today I am meeting up with friends and it looks like another sunny day. Hope you all have a good day :)

My youngest "baby" daughter is 40 today! My SIL planned a surprise party for this evening so we're looking forward to that.
I was 27 when I had her. She was 38 when she had her youngest. I think the maturity makes her a better mother and they are in great shape so I think she has more energy than I did. That said, I'm glad I had mine younger.

Today the 5th of April is /was my mums birthday... she would have been 91 years old today. I can't help but wonder what type of old lady she would have been.. but we never got to even see her in middle age.. she was 39 when she died..

We made it through the night. Around 3:00 am lightning struck fairly close. The yard long ked completely colorless. I have seen this only once before. SO slept through most of it. Last night he moved the baby peach trees back to the hot tub enclosure. It would have beaten them to a pulp. Weatherman is talking about snow.

It will be a day of puttering about. I may start the cookies mass production I need next week end. Be one step ahead as one never knows what may come up.

Coffee, cinni buns, news and two furries.

I’ve had my 2nd cuppa caffeine and am ready to focus on getting the documentation from yesterday completed so that I can get started on packing. My grandgirls are in Spring Break next week, so I’m spending the week in N GA.

Completing “Christy” today with Ed. Been interesting to re-read it after all these years and the experiences I’ve had with rural nursing.

I’ve made soups ahead and froze them; will pack them to take with me as the weather is supposed to be in the low 60’s; after it being 85+ here the last week, it’s gonna feel like winter again…blah 🙄

Aren't some people strange.?

I was behind a younger woman at the pub yesterday who was booking a meal for 20 people for 2 months hence .

She was asked what time she'd like it for and she said ''around 12 or 12.15pm.."

The booking lady says.. we have 12.10 or 12.20 available... and the woman says '' Oooh , is that all the time you have, errrm.. I'm not sure''..and she stood umming about it for about 2 minutes... and then finally said '' Ok 12.10 will have to do''

:oops::rolleyes::oops:

I was out for false dawn in the hot tub around 5:30 facing the Big Dipper - it was already too much light to see the Milky Way. I bring my travel cup and the metal coffee carafe w me so I can enjoy an extended soak w multiple refills.

There was a great horned owl calling and sure enough it flew into a 60' Blue Spruce adjacent to the patio and called the "hoo- hoo- hoo" a number of times to see if any friends were in the neighbor hood. Eventually when it got light enough I saw him at the top of my neighbor's spruce tree - just a black silhouette at that point. He/she then flew low and silently by me over the ridge. Those are the small moments I live for which got me to thinking about my father and wife; the 2 people most responsible for my current life. I'm forever indebted to them both for making me what I am and accepting me as is.

I'm bored w skiing so it's off to ride the motorcycle later, looks like mostly sunny, high near 50°F.

Which one do you think was dumber?

As a former inside sales person, take the order and hang up!

Just wait until the androids among us come out into the open. Get ready for more odd behavior.

My Aries son had a BD yesterday and today the three of them are coming over to celebrate for the third day of festivities. I bought a chocolate Carvel CAKE in honor of the occasion. When I say happy birthday to him he says back to me happy BIRTHING day. Most of it wasn't that happy! Labor and all that.

Just checking in to say hello. Have a great day friends..

Well yeah, but the idea is the lady said 12 or 12:15, the response should have been "that's perfect - we'll see you then." Now beat it (leave) so nobody changes their mind.
yes but the booker obviously had available time slots in front of her which I could see she was looking at...

Sense would tell you jusst to say ok 12 noon... and let them come and wait for a few minutes , but I suppose with such a large group they would have be prepared with tables pushed together,. and the 7 ..yep 7 High chairs the woman requested

I remember thinking don't come here in May...:D

I'm telling you this amitriptyline is some drug. I saw on reddit that people use it to get high at high doses. The 10mg pill is the size of a bird seed. So there is no cutting it.

Drowsy...after one pill at 10 for bedtime all the way till 9am, I felt sleepy. It helps with pain, but I can't use it if I am so drowsy all the time.

Another dilemma to add to the list. :)
.

It's too late to say good morning. I was out at the butt crack of dawn doing garden stuff. Work for 15 minutes, rest for 15 minutes, rinse and repeat. And here we are at 1 in the afternoon!

My potting bench is done except for the trim pieces which I'm going to ask DSIL to put on next time he has a day off. My fingers don't cooperate with doing tiny things.

Hot again today. It's already 82. When it cools off some next week, I have lots of "winter work" jobbies that should have been done but weren't. Maybe I'll get to those.

@Trila I hope you have water wings.
@hawkdon Gonna tell you one more time! Only one and you'd better remember it for next season (or the rest of this season): It's sNOw. Got it? sNOw.
@hollydolly I can relate about the back. Mine's killing me.
@CinnamonSugar Take warm clothes!

My day took a turn for the worse about five hours ago. I'm a volunteer at the Speedway and we had problems with the starting system. It's operated by powerful rubber which lifts the tapes up and lets me riders go. Somehow my fingers got in the way and got mega-whacked. The paramedics told I'd need stitches and sent me off to the urgent care clinic. The doctor there got an X-ray which shows a cracked bone, she also said that that I'd need plastic surgery. So here I am at 1.00 AM in the hospital emergency department three hours in and probably another hour before treatment...
