Gentle posts for gentle folks

@CallMeKate
You definitely don't need to provide the laughs for us, every day. πŸ₯°

We can take turns with that, and some days you can just tell it like it is, among friends!😊

I agree that FedEx doesn't do things, the way they used to.
And delivery problems are very frustrating!

I'm glad your package did arrive. I wish they could talk, and tell us where they've been!

BTW, @CallMeKate
Brown sugar glazed salmon does not sound like salmon.
Probably was ham or something else like a donut, under that glaze.

In any case, it doesn't count as nutritious fish.πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ₯°

@RadishRose
To answer a question of yours...
The way I cook salmon is the easiest and quickest way I've found possible. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜

Thankfully it tastes fine that way, at least to dh and myself. πŸ˜ƒ

We cut it into pieces and freeze them that way.
Then take out one at a time, to defrost.

Using a small pan with fitted lid.... we steam it, by just heating a small amount of water, and putting it in, with lid.
It takes 6 to 10 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of the piece.

If someone else cooked it, I'd eat it any way they season it, but thankfully it's a healthy delicious treat for us even plain.

I'm exhausted and worn out, still today, Sunday...πŸ™„πŸ€¨
From the outing on Friday for my medical appointment and then to the small fresh fish market.

So today is partly another rest day.
I did help with 1 machine wash laundry load, which is not easy, the way we have to do it.

But it's a good accomplishment.

Tomorrow morning is p.t.,
which I will go to, as long as I am strong enough to manage to safely get there.

I'm glad I don't need to be in peak shape.
The therapist is flexible and very good at finding things that I can do that will help me, even if it's not my best day.

Chilly rain today but no snow, like we had so very recently.

I hope it's a good day for each of you.

Including @Pinky πŸ₯°
And @katlupe 🀩
And @hawkdon 😊

Hello Kaila and Friends!
Happy Sunday to all!
Those salmon and cake recipes make me hungry!
@Kaila and @Medusa Thank you so much for inquiring about the cats. They are both feeling much better. I was impressed on how quickly the meds worked. We will continue with the pills for a few weeks but the itching is gone and the redness almost gone.
Kaila, good luck at PT tomorrow.
Glad you are feeling better Medusa.
Enjoy the rest of your day ladies.❀️

Hello @Kaila & friends!

All this talk about food is making me hungry. Though I like salmon, I can't eat it, due to a severe allergy :(
I will probably start an early food prep (stir-fry veggies on top of noodles.

@Medusa .. glad to hear you are feeling better πŸ€—

@Rossana .. pleased to hear that the meds have helped stop the itching - poor cats. I bet they are adorable.

I hope everyone who posts in this thread, is having a lovely day ❀️

No Rocco today so I got the bus into town, had a wander around, got a few bits and pieces including an Anniversary Edition of Trvial Pursuit in a charity shop for the princely sum of Β£2.00. Will take that to my son's house tomorrow when we have tea and quiz night. I also bought a cheap 'old lady' shopping trolley, put my purchases in it and decided to walk home instead of getting the bus. It was a little bit of a walk too far as I have scoliosis and my back was sore when I got home. It's okay now, I decided that a lie down on the settee watching tele was in order and promptly fell asleep.

Hi Pam Good to see you / hear from you .So no Rocco that day , you know I have to say I really like your your little trolley I think it's cool it doesn't look old ladyish at all. I have one but it's not as nice as yours. Let me see what else were you saying you walked and good for you Trivial Pursuit that's what I wanted to say I used to love that game that's all I wanted to do was play that game when we were friends with another couple. Have fun.

Kaila and all our other friends I had an accident Saturday afternoon which I fell over backwards outside on the slab I was trying to bring in a large box of stuff that was delivered and instead of propping the door open I decided that with my bad right arm I'm going to elbow my way in with the box on my left arm and I misjudged everything The box hit the door jamb and pushed against me and I fell over backwards

Yes and I broke my tailbone it's fractured and I also got nine staples in my scalp so I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself but at first they told me the cat scan didn't show any any of the X ray didn't show any fractures in my tailbone but the nurse called me this morning and told me that the radiologist took another look and said there was indeed a fracture there. No fractures of the skull thank goodness But it hurts so much to try to get up and back down again, It's difficult to walk but I have a walker left over from my grandson when he broke his leg.

My son's been here in and out since he came Saturday he's been at the hospital with me and ran to get pain meds for me today, They gave me Tramadol oh when I was in the emergency room they gave me morphine oh what a blessed drug that is! Anyway I'm not going to talk about it anymore.... it's going to be about 6 weeks to heal and I'll be okay I just thought I'd tell you about my little adventure,

Oh my goodness Rose, that is very serious, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know you're in a lot of pain, but I'm happy it wasn't any more severe. Happy that your son is helping and looking out for you. I hope the pain medications continue to help. Sending you love and healing thoughts.....hugs. πŸ’™

@RadishRose I am so sorry to hear that you hurt yourself. That is painful! Take care! I hope the meds help you.
I am glad your son was there to help to you.
The cats are feeling much better now. The rash only showed up Wednesday. Prior to that they were just licking themselves. It is the first year that this has happened to them. I hope it will not happen every year!
