A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today it was 0 degrees Celsius and partially sunny , partially cloudy. We went into town since we needed to do some shopping and went on the forest walk we normally do. It’s 3.5 kilometres.

We met a wheaten terrier owner. All dogs got along great. I picked up our smallest, my husband put a leash on the other and the woman leashed her dog. We chat for a bit then left.

On the way back, I took a couple of pictures of the ocean. There are hundreds of little islands along the coastline which are fun to explore. IMG_8224.jpeg

Today is snowing and 0 degrees Celsius. We went on our forest trail walk where we ran into 2 other people. Each of them had their own dog. One was leashed and the other one wasn’t. The one that wasn’t walked right up to us no matter how much calling he did; the dog wasn’t listening. When he caught up to his dog he seemed angry at us. Anyway we just carried on.

Indigenous Australians do rain dancing …never found out if it’s worked in the past .

We will be in big trouble ( dust wise ) if farmers decide to dry seed ( start sowing despite no rain ) it will stir the ground up and cause huge dust storms , farmers like to be finished sowing by Easter …..well it’s not looking good for them …

Today was 3 degrees and sunny where we took our walk. We walked in the forest but across the road from where we normally walk.
We met 2 people and one other dog. The dog was a labradoodle and was very well behaved. It was a full grown puppy. The other woman was walking by herself. She commented about how well behaved our dogs were. It made us feel really good cause they really are well behaved. They come when called and stay when told. They are good doggies.

Today was sunny and 7 to 8 degrees so we went for a walk along the old railroad track beside the Atlantic Ocean.

We passed a squirrel that had a lot to say to us. It went running to the top of this tree stump and told us off. Lol

This is a longer walk than we generally go on. It’s 5 kilometres.

We walked along the beach today since the tide was so low. It was nice.

Gorgeous! I must admit I'm a bit envious. It had been a while since I have breathed in beautiful salt air.

Yep.I'm just being silly …..

No rain …in fact it’s quite a warm summery day and the same forecast for next few days mid 30’s ( 90+ F )
and It’s Autumn ….

I think of you everyday and pray you get some rain soon.

Today we went into town for a walk in the forest. It was 10 degrees. Oddly enough we met our general practitioner ( family doctor ) while walking . We saw them in the distance, put our dogs on their leashes and moved off the path for them. He was there with his wife and daughter and they said hi first. He definitely recognized us. They are the only people we saw.

Today is overcast and 5 degrees. It’s very dull compared to the beautiful sunny day we had 2 days ago.

We met up with the people who had their dogs off the leash and this time they put their dogs on a leash before approaching us, which we were very thankful for.

The rivers are flowing quite quickly today due to the snow melting and additional rainfall.

On the way back to the house we saw 2 separate eagles. I took pictures but the eagles weren’t close enough for me to get decent photos.

I try to take nice photos so I can share the beauty and excitement of my day. It seems to help uplift my spirits and sooth my depression.

It looks like streams I would fish for trout in. That was in the mountains in California where I grew up. One of my most favorite things to do. :) Does your husband ever stream fish for trout?

In Ontario my husband used to stream fish. It’s where he could catch the most trout but here he catches most of the trout in the huge salt water lake we have. The salt water fish look a lot like salmon due to the grass shrimp they eat. The trout are bright orange/red inside. He doesn’t keep all the fish he catches.

He wears his chest waders and goes right in the water. If he doesn’t catch any fish in a certain amount of time, he moves. He’s an active fisherman. I think that’s why he’s so successful.

He loves fishing. Yesterday we went to Canadian Tire to get his worm but they didn’t have the ones he’s looking for. They are called dew worms or night crawlers. He’s planning on going fishing next week. He’s like a little kid when he comes back with fish..He gets so excited.
