Sure looks like things are working out. Within 2 to 3 years a lot of jobs could be repatriated or simply moved into this market.
Honda's REACTION TO TARIFFS. Moving EVERYTHING to USA?!
The parts supply chain might take more time. But that's just automobile products. Power sports and other small-engine device production may be moved here as well, I just haven't seen any industry coverage yet.
It's interesting that you think this speculative video from someone many of us may not even know helps your point.
He expresses a lot of "I don't knows" around the 2.50 mark. Relocation of production takes about 2 years (6.48 or 6.50 mark). Then, he has more questions and uncertainty after the 8.48 mark.
Then, he starts speaking against tariffs at 13.33 mark, "except in phases" to allow manufacturers to have time to adapt to U.S. production. He's hopeful, around the 14.43 mark that there "may be a phased application of tariffs."
Around 15.20 mark, "he [in reference to the man in Washington] might" change his mind about how tariffs are applied. [But then again, he may not...]
Around 15.38 mark, he says, "It's just chaos right now." [At least he got that right.]
