At the moment realized I should be driving instead of pointing a loaded camera around

I used to enjoy driving around at night. That's when I encountered a pair of wolves .. or coyotes.
Very relaxing, with little other traffic. Also, a good time to grocery shop at 24-hour supermarkets.

In the Xmas season, daughter and I used to go driving at night, to see all the Xmas lights.

since covid we no longer have 24 hour supermarkets... they all close by midnight....

I used to prefer driving at night to the daytime... but the last time I drove at night was just after my seperation.. and I was going through a bad time, and not able to sleep, so I would get in the car and drive for miles on the motorway stopping only at service stations...

I often drive at night due to working shifts. I notice there is a different class of idiot on the roads at night.

When I was younger, for the hell of it, I would drive through the night and watch the sun rise as I was driving. Just me (occasionally a girlfriend), my car, and good music to listen to.

Well, probably like alot folks here, when ms gamboolgal and I was dating we sure enjoyed taking the long way home after dinner/dates...🥰

Now in retirement, we enjoy taking Road Trips together. But we like taking back roads and doing most of the driving during daylight so we can enjoy the scenery and "small town America".

2 reasons no: Too many deer, 'possums, etc trying to cross the road at night... especially the deer just seem to pop up out of the road-side ditches and if you hit one, lots of damage to the car--not to mention the animal =(

2) I equate driving at night with being called out at 2am to go see a patient...
