Many long years ago, in a store in Maine, while on vacation - I found stationery with the "mousies" poem on it.
In reality, though they are vermin .. I think mice are quite cute.

My neighbor used to "feed the deer". All my other neighbors knew this was a bad idea. Deer are quite able to find their own food, and you don't know what else you're feeding. When she moved away, everyone in the neighborhood was inundated with hungry mice-lots of 'em. I was still clearing my lot, and when I cut down some bushes, mice were running away. It took about a month to get rid of them.

I found some mice bait for my barn that is safe around other animals & people. They have been taking it & I'm not seeing very many now.
I'm thankful that I sure don't have that kind of a problem.
