Do you get irritated with internet security features?

And, 25 years ago....my boss.said "We're becoming a paperless society"..👎
haven't 'seen it yet'

more junk mail
I saw it today. I have paid the electric bill by mail and check for over 40 years. It is one of a few bills I pay this way anymore. I just had my credit card pay every month on the 18th. We spend the money and that's it. No more responsibility. Cool. Today on my electric bill I saw them announcing their online services now. I could set up some no hassel, hands free, payment schedule. There goes another hands on money transaction. So, yes I feel like physical money is disappearing and magic money has replaced it.

True. Another thing that bugs the hell out of me is when they'll send you a paper bill, but attach a $5 service charge for it! I pay thousands of dollars a year for auto and home insurance, but yet they still have the gall to charge $5 to send a paper bill. I never pay that charge, and never will.
I think I can go you one better, @ChiroDoc, not that it's a contest. ;) My management company for my apartment will accept ONLY electronic payments: no checks. AND we have to pay a service fee for the electronic processing! In what world is that fair?

Actually, they just recently said rent can be paid in cash, but I personally don't feel like transporting $1,000+ around, even if it is just from the bank to the leasing office.

Rather than being irritated by them, I'm generally reassured by passwords, two factor IDs, and internet security.

I use a paid PW manager for financial sites, use complex passwords, and keep a few tricks up my sleeve that would prevent access to my accounts even if the PW manager were hacked.

That's ridiculous. The management company should be paying YOU a small amount for electronic payments because they're saving a lot of money by having to process checks. I'm surprised they accept cash.
