Cops misbehaving in the US

I finally had to cease reading these comments. There are individual cases in every nation on this globe where you will find "bad" cops. For the major part of their lives, most police officers are dedicated to doing a good job and keeping the peace. Catch a criminal, he's a hero, if the criminal has died while in custody, the cop's a goat. We never really know the true story. Stop bashing them. If you dislike them for whatever reason, keep it to yourself. I, for one, am happy they are there when needed to save a life while offering theirs in return.

You're living in a made up world. The reality is far different than the one you and many others have conjured up. Of course the "real story" now is on video so keep your head buried in the sand and ignore what you can see and hear with your own senses. We'll never escape the tyranny and bullying that we are PAYING for unless we demand better, the first step towards that is awareness.

The idea that posting videos and articles showing irrefutable proof of the total corruption of the police in the US is "bashing" is ludicrous. I will not "keep it to myself" and I will continue to post as long as Matrix allows, so if you don't want to be informed about the topic don't come to the thread.

Talk about cops behaving badly.....this one is disgusting! This story was also featured in another online publication that I read this morning.

"A New Jersey police chief has been accused of defecating on floors, spiking the department coffee with ****** and adderall, and stabbing an officer’s ***** with a hypodermic needle among other assualt and harassment claims filed in a complaint."

The article features more detailed info about the officers' complaints. That sicko has been on the force 26 years and makes $228,000 a year. A lawsuit on behalf of the officers is now pending. The story ends just before Can't Get Enough of the Beast?

Rankin County, Mississippi home of the 'Goon Squad' is home to more corruption by the Sheriff including using tax payer money and free labor to support Sheriff's mothers chicken farm.

What a disgrace!

NYT -"The reporting revealed that for most of his 13 years in office, Sheriff Bailey used his position as the highest paid and most powerful public figure in his suburban county in ways that financially benefited himself and his family."

"For years, people familiar with the sheriff’s activities kept quiet, out of a sense of loyalty or because they feared crossing a popular sheriff with political connections across Mississippi."

"Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey won re-election in fall 2023, running unopposed, despite scrutiny on his office as the Justice Department investigated his deputies.

But that began to change in 2023, when five Rankin County sheriff’s deputies were charged with civil rights offenses for torturing two Black men in their home and shooting one of them in the mouth. A subsequent investigation by The New York Times and Mississippi Today revealed that deputies in the department, including those who called themselves the Goon Squad, had used similar brutality for nearly two decades against those they suspected of using or dealing drugs."

As if Haiti, DR, and PR don't have enough problems, FL cop supplies weapons:

"Orlando, FL – Acting United States Attorney Sara C. Sweeney announces that Michael Adrian Nieto (31, St. Cloud) has pleaded guilty to dealing in firearms without a license. Nieto faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

According to the plea agreement, Nieto, a sworn law enforcement officer, repeatedly purchased and resold firearms to individuals. Among others, Nieto supplied firearms to Ernesto Vazquez, a key member of a criminal conspiracy that smuggled hundreds of firearms to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Haiti. In addition, to benefit the conspiracy, Nieto corruptly used police databases to provide sensitive and confidential information to Vazquez.

Between June 6, 2022, and September 4, 2024, Nieto purchased at least 58 firearms. Many of the firearms were identical and were purchased together or close in time to one another. On October 17, 2024, FBI and ATF agents executed a federal search warrant at Nieto’s residence. At the time of the search warrant, 12 firearms were still in his possession.

On October 17, 2024, Nieto was interviewed by FBI and ATF agents. He admitted to repeatedly buying and reselling guns to individuals, including Vazquez, despite knowing that Vazquez was transferring these guns to third parties, in violation of federal law. Nieto also admitted that Vazquez had provided him with illegal items, including a machinegun conversion device.

Vazquez previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic firearms. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 25, 2025.

^^^The similarities in those events in the videos above are striking. 3 sick individuals committing crimes w/out regard for other's lives; seemingly for the pure joy of it. Of course 1 crime was sponsored by the state, committed under color of law, and the criminal has qualified immunity so he'll never be punished. The other 2 will hopefully rot in hell where in reality all 3 need jail time.

Equal justice under the law......yeah right!

How about this tool and his accomplices at the PD? .........results in a PAID VACATION for the chief. The victim was fortunate in that security footage revealed what actually happened and he's lucky he didn't get shot in the face and executed.

Chief on PAID VACATION

Don’t break the law.
Never, ever call 911.
Problem solved.

DOJ, drops consent decree: “This dismissal, as predictable and shameful as it is, does not erase D.O.J.’s historic finding that Minneapolis engaged in a pattern of racially discriminatory, unlawful and unconstitutional policing,” Mr. Ellison said in a statement."

Unfortunately Minneapolis is not the only jurisdiction that's getting a pass from DOJ or perhaps it should be renamed the "dept of injustice."

NYT - "A New York police inspector was transferred after allowing dozens of prospective officers to continue in the hiring process even though they failed to meet mental health standards set by the department, according to two people briefed on the matter.

Terrell Anderson, who had commanded the candidate assessment division, was sent to the housing unit because officials learned he had overridden negative psychological reports for 80 candidates. That allowed them to go into the Police Academy even though they should have been disqualified based on their psychological assessments, according to the two people.

It is not clear how many of the candidates went on to graduate from the academy and become police officers. The psychological reports had been overridden over the past several years, according to one of the people."

Lives of the public and fellow officers be damned.

And, again, your opinion. Have a good day.

Yes, it’s my opinion, and one backed by history and current events. Across Europe, we've seen what happens when civilian police forces become militarized. In Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, and Franco’s Spain, the line between policing and military enforcement disappeared, and so did basic freedoms. In each case, heavily armed police forces weren’t protecting liberty, they were enforcing submission. And today, even in democratic countries, we see concerning trends: armored vehicles rolling through peaceful protests, tactical gear becoming standard issue, and dissent being treated as a threat. That’s exactly why our Founding Fathers emphasized "the security of a free state." Militarized policing undermines that security now as it did then.

I don’t read screeds.

No, actually not backed by history or current events. You pick and choose the sources for your “proof” as we all do. Again, don’t break the law, don’t call 911, if you live in the US—move.

You’re an old hippie still pretending to be “down with the struggle.” Do you still have your “CHE LIVES” poster hanging next to the poster of a marijuana leaf?

Buy bye now:

That’s quite a lot of noise for someone who "doesn’t read screeds." Dismissing historical evidence without engaging it doesn’t make you right, it just makes you loud. And mocking dissent as "old hippie talk" is about as tired as Che poster jokes. If ignoring history, ridiculing anyone who questions authority, and telling people to leave the country is your idea of patriotism, then yes, I’m proud to be from a different era. One where critical thinking wasn’t treated like a threat.

Heard this on the news, very upsetting, but par for the course these days.

Don't know if anyone posted about this. What a disgusting POS!! He committed the most heinous crimes while he was police chief. And what was he doing in a medium security prison in the first place?! He escaped by pretending to be a guard, even wore a make-shift uniform. He is considered dangerous and has sparked a massive man hunt.
"Grant Hardin, the former police chief in the small town of Gateway near the Arkansas-Missouri border, was serving lengthy sentences for murder and rape and became known as the "Devil in the Ozarks."
