What Are You Stocked Up On?

Getting stocked on canned beans and creamed corn which everyone likes. I eat mostly fresh stuff but cereal is a go and a friend recommended rice and grains which are a good idea too.
Good things to stock up on Chic. Do you ever make corn chowder or corn pudding? So good.

@StarSong I have seen articles that say to do what you're doing, as far as protecting the beans from moisture. The extra protection for your coffee beans sound adequate. How long are they good for after you refrigerate them?

I don't do much baking, but have flour and a box of brownie mix in the house. I keep stocked up on personal grooming supplies (a part of the personal care products I mentioned in the OP). I buy Bic disposable shavers in bulk. My son uses spray starch, but I don't. I do have a supply of Scotch water proofing spray. I have shoe polish in several colors, even "cognac" because I do take good care of my shoes and boots. Here's a hack though...you need to polish a pair of shoes in a hurry, a couple of drops of olive oil on a paper towel will do the trick. Apply it and rub it in a little.
Thank you Diva - this is something you learn very early on in Catholic School.

I accidentally have a bunch of tp. I sent the SO out to purchase a particular brand…and got 24 rolls of crap. So I sent my son out and even wrote down exactly what I needed. Another 24 rolls of crap. So then I ordered from walmart…free shipping if I placed a big enough order…so now have 48 rolls of the brand I love. Geeze…

Men and shopping list should not be used in the same sentence:>)
Just put the "crap" paper in their bathrooms.

Will let you know - I haven't tried it yet. Sites say up to a year, but I'm not willing to gamble that much yet.

I'll start with a 6 month supply to see how it goes. Our garage contains our backup pantry and it gets pretty toasty in there when temps climb over 100°. Keeping the beans in the fridge will surely be kinder to them than exposing them to those high temps.

I was blessed. My husband loved to shop. We loved going to the malls, even Costco. But he also had to shop for merchandise for his store. I used to hate going to Manhattan (aka New York City.), where he got most of his merchandise from. Parking was horrible and I'd have to drive around if we didn't find a (legal) spot. I hated driving in that part of NYC.

Yes, Diva. I make chicken corn chowder which is really good. I throw in extra veggies to make it very healthy too. :giggle:

TP and facial tissues get stocked up on .. oh, also paper towels - from Costco.
Don't we love our Kirkland brand paper products! :D Although when the 10 box bundle of Kleenex goes on sale, I buy that. Lasts me a couple of years.
It took me over a year to use up all the TP and paper towels I stocked up on during COVID!
Boy PurplePower...you got me beat!

Interesting spin on the recipe Chic.

Most of my paper products are Kirkland brand also, Diva. The only exception I sometimes make is the enormous package items, such as rolls of paper towels. I don't have the closet capacity. But tissues, napkins, even TP (I divide the rolls between my two bathrooms) all come from Costco.

I’ve never been one to stock up on goods, even during the pandemic. I just do my weekly shopping (which I hate) regularly. When I run out of something, I go out and get whatever it is I need.
