Growing up whenever work was slow, my dad worked as a Taxi driver. It's a hard way to earn a living.
As an adult, there were a handful of times (in emergencies) that I needed to call a Taxi myself.
It's shocking to watch that meter tick by. Especially the first few minutes.
Then of course, you are expected to not only pay for your fare, but the driver expects a tip too.
In the end, taking a cab is very expensive.
If it were a cheaper form of transportation, I would have used it for more than emergencies.
