Odd. This Mirror and Table Didn't Sell

My family has been doing garage sales for almost as long as I can remember. Up to about 10 years ago, you could ask almost any price for an item and people were willing to pay; it seemed everyone was collecting something. Now it's like a wrestling match trying to get a few dollars for anything. It's a buyer's market. This is a sale we had at the house in which I grew up:

I used to do more crafts when I was younger. Now, not much. Everyone has talents, Pepper - you have a talent for pointing out truth in many posts, I have observed.

I think a great many folks have what I call "fixed function syndrome". They see a coffee mug and only see it as that.
I could see it being used as a pen/pencil holder or planter, probably many other uses that just a beverage cup.
You're fighting a losing battle, deb. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I love the bumper jacks, reminds me of being little watching my dad put the chains on the car when we got heavy snow.

That's because young people have been priced out of a buyer's market. Owning homes isn't part of a young person's burden anymore. Like furniture, for old people.
My children all own homes in So Cal. One son paid $600K in 2019, the other, just shy of a million in (I think 2022). DD bought hers in around 2010, so got a great deal. Mid $300s if I remember correctly. All plan to stay in their homes for a very long time. Virtually all of my children's friends own homes, too. Yes, home prices are high here, but so are salaries if you have a good job.

At first glance, my reaction was: This would be great at the entrance of a beach home. It has a "beachy" color, and I think would fit in there. But where do you sell specifically beach furniture, unless you have a furniture store at the beach?
