TLDR = Too Long. Didn't Read. What is TLDR?
spot on - hypocrisy abounds! To truly get a perspective on this you need to read articles that are not aimed at the US market. I love you Americans, but a clear and honest view of Israel and what it's doing is not possible there. IMO.
And please, I'm not aiming this comment at anyone here, and I don't mean to upset the board members. It's simply how I - honestly - feel about it all in a generalized way.
What's next - bomb China because of the drugs they're producing and their threats on Taiwan? Bomb Russia because of its international terrorism? Bomb North Korea because it has enslaved a whole country? Did we learn nothing from Iraq and Afghanistan? I guess not. The US will soon be bombing Iran itself, just as soon as the military has everything in place. So yet another war.
In what alternative universe do you think I offered an opinion?you just did ????
It's all about Islam and their dislike of Jews and Christians. All the countries surrounding Israel are Muslims. They are different sects but all believe in the same Quran and are loosely connected by the worldwide Muslim Brotherhood. Since Israel is nearby it is easy for them to pick on. America not so much. But they've still killed thousands on American soil. Don't recall how many died in 9/11, the Boston marathon and other lone wolf attacks. Now if we had a map of the whole area designating clearly the nations/tribes/ ethnic groups involved in all of this it might become clearer? - anyone up for it? Is it all about a land grab? or we just hate each other??
There are many things that trouble me about this conflict but here are two that are near the top of my list.
It seems to me that Israel and the United States have been discussing their fear of Iran developing a nuclear weapon since the Shah was ousted in the late 70s.
It makes me think that Iran must have a collection of the world’s dumbest nuclear scientists or it is some sort of fear mongering to justify continuing conflict.
The other is that the only two nations that seem overly invested in this are Israel and the United States. Don’t the other nations of the world share these same concerns enough to take some sort of action.
I guess I’m becoming a bit of an isolationist and don’t really believe that these continuing conflicts around the world do more good than harm or solve more problems than they create.
Thanks from here as well. Didn't have a clue as to it's meaning.TLDR = Too Long. Didn't Read.
Heard a little snippet am on a news item that the economies of Iran have been bled dry for a long time in an effort to develop; build and maintain their nuclear program? - [ABC Oz?]
Thank you for that read. I had heard references to Nazi's targeting Gypsies with propaganda and stirring up discrimination, and even heard suggestions that they may have gone further than that. But we seldom hear more, because the bulk of the documentation is about what happened to the Jews.
ah = see ya confused again! - point of clarification : the suggestion was that Iran were bleeding their own citizens dry??Let me ask you this. If the US were Iran, and did not have nuclear weapons. How do you think they would have reacted to being told they simply are not allowed to develop such weapons? How do you think they would react to perceived enemies who said they would force regime change? How do you think they would react to being bombed?
