you have forgotten tho' Gigi.. many of us have already seen you ... and you look like a film star... we told you that then, and I stick by that now....
Yes. Yes, I am. Jussayin'I believe you.. and I know you do it out of the goodness of your heart because you would put all the rest of ladies firmly in the shade... you're kind like that.....![]()
Yep. I felt pain on my back yesterday...shingles!! Caught it quick so I am taking an anti-viral. Thanks for your caring and wise thoughts....The most important time for you not to get stressed over things you can't change is when you're not well.. you have to concentrate all your power on getting better and blow everything else that's going on in the world.
You and your life are the single most important thing..without your health there's nothing you can do to change anything else...![]()
oh thank Goodness you caught that early and was able to start on the anti-viral meds... actually that reminds me I'm going to ring my doctor and get a Shingles vaccineYep. it's beautiful, it's like a park it's not like a private garden.....I can see all the hard work you've put into itThis is one end of the garden, closest to the house. The flower colors don't show up well. Drat.View attachment 432543

That was very nice of them! I'm curious what that round black thing is in the bottom left corner - a large mushroom? I also liked the little people smiles. Are those breads? Let us know what you ate. Just curious. Thanks!look what my neighbour brought around tonight...![]()
She was accompanied by her 2 little helpers, one age 9 the other age 4, and what else could I give 2 good helpers to take home, but some Ice -cream... so they came in and helped themselves from the freezer to choc ices.. bless their little bare feet....
Oops be careful I'll be getting accused of taking a picture from a restaurant and saying it's MY dinner...![]()
yes it's a flat mushroom, we use a lot of them here. My neighbors BBQ most things and they were BBQ'ing this evening... if it's a nice evening hubby gets home from work and BBQ'....they often bring supper round for me.. and even if they're having a party they always bring me a plate.. so kindThat was very nice of them! I am so sorry to hear this.. you must dread these things happening knowing the great age of your mum...Difficult couple of days. Spent them in hospital with my mom. She fell and has a knee fracture. We spent 7 hours in the emergency room until she could be admitted. All the medical staff were great, it was just a slow process.
Not sure what we are facing now in terms of her recovery. Do know they have ruled out surgery due to her age (91) and frail condition.
If she can become ambulatory again I want her back home with us. Not sure that will happen.
I, myself, am exhausted.
jeez Rae..I have been stung by wasps .. I've been stung by mosquitos.. but the hornet that flew up my skirt and stung me on the top of my leg is the only thing that ever made me pass out... the pain was horrific, like no pain I'd ever felt from an insect before... so I really feel for you tonight.. hopefully antihistamine cream will take the pain out soon...I went out on my enclosed patio and when walking back up to the house, I felt a sting on my arm and it really hurt, so I went inside and washed it with soap and put some healing cream on it. All of a sudden I felt another sting on my finger and yelled for my husband. I told him a hornet stung me and must still be on me. He found it laying on the kitchen floor and killed it. My arm swelled up at the sting and also my finger. I put a cold pack on both of them and took an antihistamine pill. They quit stinging but still remain sore.
@Georgiagranny, a beautiful garden.![]()
Are you planning on living in this house? What made you choose this one, since I believe you said it’s an hour or more from your present home. Having renovated one house and fixed up other, yikes, it’s a lot of work.Got the window in and the water back on. Only two more sheets of siding and we will have a second side of the house done. The house has six sides. Not sure my guy is up to finishing this anytime soon…but by golly I am going to push for it. And then I am going to have to tackle some of the other glaring indoor issues. The joys of home ownership…
