That's good (IMO). They need to eliminate wherever possible even a superficial appearance of bias in the case so he can't get a mistrial on those grounds. The guy is obviously a psychopath (IMO), so they need to be careful.

Usually when mass killings happen, they are miles from me. But Kohberger was placed in the Monroe County, which is about 15 mules from me. Strangely the prison is next to the DMV, where I went for license pics. Somehow that makes the killings more personal.

Do they really think that moving the trial to another town is going to make a difference in the outcome? This was national news, so IMO it won't matter where the trial takes place.

@RadishRose I agree that it's terrible for the victims' families that seeing justice served for their loved ones is taking so long

They just moved this guy(I refuse to say or type his name) to Boise on Sunday morning-15 minutes from where I live. And I agree-I don`t think anyone in this Country hasn`t heard of this crime. But it`s pretty much ALL we saw on the news here in Idaho when it happened and when he was arrested. So moving the trial to Boise is pointless,IMO. And the victim`s families are saying it will be very much a hardship for them to attend the trial all the way down here.

If a change of Venue is denied, it may be grounds to reverse a conviction upon appeal and a new trial may be ordered. This case concerns multiple murders. If the defense did not request a Change of Venue, imo, it would be ineffective assistance of Counsel.

Stunned to hear that. I thought his ego and arrogance wanted a trial. But instead we get to see the small man accept a plea deal to save his own butt.

His victims couldn't get a plea deal so why him.

The killer of their children gets to live. Everyday their children aren't alive the killer is alive.

The prosecution probably saw a long drawn out trial with evidence and testimony that would be too much for the families to handle. They might have seen some appealable issues with their case as well. Probably would've been well over a decade before the killer would be executed.
