Learning How To Live Life

Today when I get to work if no one is in that first trauma room I'll hafta go back in and give it another good cleaning and look for what the nursing staff missed last night. KDHE is still here this week. ACHC and OSHA are due any time now.

Finger is almost completely healed up. Still a teensy bit tender but otherwise doing good.

I was playing the Harry Potter game but you constantly run out of energy and have to either wait which costs you coins to finish later or you have to buy energy with real money. It's been uninstalled.

There's nothing in the paper today about a crime involving a shooting so I wonder if that person tried to commit suicide last night. If there's nothing in the paper about it then odds are it's a suicide attempt. So many of them here. It's sad. It's mostly drug related.
 

Signed up for DashPass with DoorDash. It $59 for a full year. I get free deliveries and reduced fees and I got a free subscription to Max with ads. Works for me. Normally it costs about the same as Walmart Plus.

Busy night again tonight. We had to team out one area and I did 2 extra areas again. Plus the ER unit. We lost our contracted cleaning crew for a bit. Hopefully they'll be back on Monday.
 

pulmo visit went well. we're trying me on a new med that will supposedly open up my lungs more and hopefully keep me out of the hospital provided i can take the med. also doing an oximetry sleep test to check my oxygen sats without the oxygen on the cpap machine tonight. if i do good i can get off the oxygen therapy.

ordered some take out and gonna eat and relax the rest of the day.
 
morning. did my oximeter sleep test. will turn it back into them on tuesday before work. i'd like to tell you the name of the new medicine he's trying me on but i can't pronounce it let alone spell it. i'll hafta wait til i get the bottle in hand.

i started watching a donna summer documentary last night. i had no idea she'd passed away. she's been dead a long time and i had no clue. i had to look it up. her daughter said something about her in past tense and i thought wait what?

kdhe has been at the hospital for a week already and then some. of course by the time i get there i never see anyone. i figure they're gone from the building by 6pm tops. so after 6 i put my drink back on my cart so i'm not dying of thirst. i don't like using public water fountains.

i work the weekend and i'm off monday. not sure what i will fix for dinner later. we'll see how i feel after work.

Yes, Donna Summer passed away but I can't remember when or why. I have her greatest hits CD and play it whenever I need a lift. Talking about her now makes me want to play it.......loud! Music is a memory box for me. :D
 
It was a busy day today so I didn't have time to stop in earlier for a visit. From the looks of it tomorrow will be busy too. My ride had a gout flare up so he might not be in tomorrow either. He's my helper with the linens so I spent a lot of time runnin back and forth with linens today. Wore me out.

I do feel like my breathing is a little better with the new med which is nice. I got a retirement card ordered for the supervisor that's leaving. She's my friend too so I wanted to do something cuz I won't see her on her last day I don't think. I'm not sure.

I'll be off Monday so I'm gonna order a few groceries and some pizza I think. Next month I plan to pull my 401k so I can see about buying a car. Might be my last car. I don't know yet. So much going on in my life right now. Usually I'm pretty wound up but anymore I'm just kinda sittin here takin it all in.

I try to stay calm and think things through more these days. Not sure if that's part of aging or what.

Yesterday I picked up medication at Walmart after a nap and got some groceries while I was there. The guy who usually helps me unload is out of town. I managed to bring in four bags with perishables and needed items. The other four bags I left in the car. I even left bananas and tomatoes. This morning I took the rollator out to retrieve the groceries and a five minute job took about 40 minutes.

I heard a cat meow and discovered the kittens were back and hungry. The Mom cat sometimes moves them to a cooler spot on hot days. They should be ready for adoption soon. A neighbor is supposed to help with TNR.
 
At least once a week or so I have to go through all my apps on my phone and clear the caches. I don't understand why they can't just have one button setting somewhere to clear them all. I have to go through and clear 67 apps and every time they update the system it's more. Very frustrating.

Got my groceries. Paid a couple bills. Had a mini pizza and a mini dessert pizza. Just sitting here watching Call Me Kat on Max.
