I left my camcorder in the park

It does seem likely that they're not returning it now then. 🤨

Unless someone else is trying to talk them into turning it in, and hasn't yet succeeded. 🫤

I'll hope for that slight chance. 🙄😔

Have you posted on the local chat group for Mandurah. It may be that someone is hoping for a reward.

Or someone may read it and wonder why their friend suddenly has a new camcorder and tripod.

No phone call from the police 3 days after the camera was taken.
I wrote a Letter to the Editor just now.

I inadvertently left my new video camera at the Naval Memorial Park in Rockingham on Tuesday 15th July.
To the person who found it and did not hand it to the police, I hope you get as much enjoyment as I had for the short time it was mine.
A person is judged by the actions they take when they think no one is watching.
Integrity is about making ethical choices. Your actions show that you lack integrity.

@Bretrick if you have household insurance it may be that you can claim for lost property. If not, it might be worth looking into it in the future.

I added personal possessions to contents insurance, it cost very little and included accidental damage and lost items. I made one claim and the insurance company reimbursed me the cost of my damaged camera without any quibbles, I didn't even have to send them the camera, just photos and the receipt. Without the insurance, it would have cost me almost £400 to replace.

It seems that whoever found your camera is not going to hand it in and, to be honest, I doubt that sort of character even knows what integrity is. :(
