Silo city, old concrete grain silos in Buffalo NY. They were saved from demolition and some of them turned into a six pack of Labatt Blue. I think of it as Buffalo's strategic beer reserve.

Can you make a masterpiece with crayons?

I worked for a while with oil pastels long ago. I really liked that medium but speaking of crayons.... in my youth there was nothing that made my heartbeat faster than a big box of crayons . I can almost smell them, even now.

Years ago I wanted to try doing a portrait drawing in color, which I had never done before.
So I did just the face and the forefront hair in colored pencil (Prismacolor). But for the flowing hair and background I needed something that could cover large areas. So I found a few crayons.
