Play pickleball and have a watermelon party. Lots of fun until you wake up that night with sore muscles and have to go pee seven times. Good time for homemade ice cream with brain freezes after a fresh caught trout fry. Just separate the two events by several hours to avoid serious cramps and ugly bathroom visits.

They are not ripe.

We used to have issues with animals and birds eating the tomatoes as they ripened on the plant. Then we discovered that if you pick a tomato at the first sign of color change it will ripen on the kitchen counter just as well as leaving it on the plant. We have done that for years now with no problems.

We do the same thing. We pick the tomatoes before they are ripe and apparently that’s what you’re suppose to do.

If you put foil around the stake that's holding up your heavy tomatoes, that's supposed to keep the birds away.
I'm doing this and I think it's working..
