Gentle posts for gentle folks

After I got home from my appointment this morning, I was too exhausted, so I had to rest before I could eat. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

And then ate a little, and needed to nap. πŸ™„

After which, I wanted to do 1 or the other, of 2 simple tasks, but......
I was just too exhausted, so I've gone to resting some more. 😳😡

Well, the accomplishment is that i did go to that important appointment.

I very often find it very draining to get ready, and to go, and to sit in those endless wait roomsπŸ˜‰πŸ™„πŸ€, etc....etc.....

I hope that been soup turns out well,
@RadishRose
It sounds good to me!
I can relate. I had an appointment like that on Thursday. The interstate was crowded. A big truck obscured my view and I missed my exit. By the time I got there I was 30 minutes late. Then a walk from the garage with my rollator and the information desk sent me to the wrong floor. I was happy they took me anyway late as it was and performed an ECHO.

The drive home was in rush hour and took a full hour. My blood pressure must have been off the chart.
I am on blood thinner and that night my nose started bleeding and continued for 14 hours. I couldn't lie down but at least it calmed down in the afternoon after a second round of nasal spray. The last time this happened I spent the night in the ER and I didn't want that.

Today I slept until noon and I'm still tired..

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen... and happy Sunday!

While looking for a carrot graphic this morning, I discovered that there's a Carrot Mountain in British Columbia, Canada. How's that for a trivial bit of information?! 😁 I also discovered that people actually make sculptures out of carrots, so here are a few for you... and as always, πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯• to all!

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee: 🌻

It's going to be a normal summer day today with a high of 84F/28.8C. According the Accuweather.com, the first half of August isn't going to be too bad, just normal summer hot.

@Babs2u, yeesh, sorry to learn about your difficult day, yesterday. I hope you can get some recovery time in today. πŸ€—

@CallMeKate, love those carrot sculptures. How fun. :) πŸ₯•

It's the usuals for me this Sunday morning. Wishing you all good things today.

Hope everyone is feeling well. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Happy Sunday to you all. I've been gone from this thread for a while - no particular reason why I stopped posting here, but @PeppermintPatty highlighted my name a couple of days ago and I thought, "I miss that thread and must get back to it." I hope it's ok for me to jump back in.

I like carrots but it's supposed to be quite warm here today, so I'd prefer one of these:

Good afternoon to each one of you.
πŸ€—πŸ˜€β˜ΊοΈ

Those carrot creations are amazing and funny,
@CallMeKate
Thank you for locating them for us.
We had NO ideaπŸ˜πŸ˜„
Speaking for all of us, that is. πŸ€£πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

Carrot mountain also sounds like the perfect destination. 😊😁

Risotto sounds excellent,
@Jules
I've never had it but I'd love to.
Please bring some when we all meet at Carrot mountain. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜

That carrot cake looks luscious, too.
@PeppermintPatty
I haven't had any in years. I think I'll think about those ingredients. Next grocery shopping. 🀩

Good Morning Everyone! Sunny Sunday is here again!
Hmmmm, a carrot graphic? Not exactly focused on the carrots but this is what I have..............

My bunny boy, Rabbit in 2014 when he was living in my barn. I didn't know he was not supposed to get all those carrots! Bad for his teeth.

Adorable picture of your bunny boy, when he was nearly 10 years younger. πŸ™‚
I'm glad you were able to bring him with you, and both enjoy these years together.

I did just a few (very few!) Of my exercises this morning. I was still groggy from overnight and worn out from yesterday.

What did I do yesterday, though?πŸ€”πŸ«€πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Oh! That outgoing to the tiny but good,
Fresh 🐠🐟🐠 market. πŸ‘
The salmon was very good, last night.
And freezer is stocked with it.

Goldfinches at the window feeder, today.
One of @Medusa 's favorites. ☺️

And,
Purple finches or House finches... hard to tell them apart. From each other.

One cardinal and 1 blue Jay stopped by for brief visits.
It's very easy to tell them apart from each other. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ₯°πŸ€©πŸ₯°

Oh, how I envy you @Kaila .. I so miss the lovely birds we used to see in our pine trees. I have to live vicariously through you πŸ¦πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ¦…

Today, we went looking for spiced ham at a deli/bakery. They didn't have spiced ham, so, we bought regular ham, and a loaf of fresh baked bread. We also indulged in sharing a pastry and cups of very good coffee.

Tomorrow is a holiday here, so, we will be staying in. Tuesday, we will be taking a drive in the country with daughter and her corgi, Abbi.

Enjoy the rest of the day, everyone!

Good for you for doing some exercises, @Kaila! πŸ’ͺ

We've had some Gold Finches around lately here as well and you're so right; I do enjoy those little birds. :)

I don't think I've ever seen a Purple Finch. Here we have Gold Finches, House (Red) Finches, and Cardinals. Lemme look em up.

Wow, they are pretty little things! The site I looked at says they are in my region, Mid-Atlantic, November through March. Maybe I've seen them and mistaken them for particularly vivid Red Finches.

I'll have to be on the lookout for them in the autumn. :)

Hi @Kaila and Posse...
Today, DGS, baby and my doggie came. GS did lots of little things for me.
Had pizza delivery. Baby loves pizza. Also gave him some peach.

He's talking up a storm now.

Hate when they leave.

@Babs2u , oh my what an ordeal! Are you better and taking meds for that BP?
It's wonderful to hear about that visit from them! I was thinking of you, and how good it would be...... and also how difficult when they leave. πŸ’—

It's definitely confusing to distinguish between them.!

The purple finches appear as if "dipped in raspberry juice"
Not purple-looking actually.

More similar to red.
Like the House Finches.

Just catching up with everyone! Wall finally painted, furniture back in place so I can sit at the computer for a little while instead of my tablet. I don't post anything via the tablet, apart from emoticons, as I make too many mistakes. I sent out friend requests on Facebook by accident... and had to quickly switch computer on to remedy that.

Pleased you had a lovely time with family and your little doggie @RadishRose. πŸ€—

Well done on the exercising @Kaila - I'm trying to do mine more regularly too... we'll see how long that lasts. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ˜‚

Good morning, Kaila & Friends. We all ready to head into a new week? I hope everyone woke up refreshed and full of "vim & vigor" as the old saying goes. I'm okay with my vigor, but my vim's gonna take another cup of coffee. :giggle: Temps going back into the 80s here for at least the next 10 days... so it was nice while it lasted! My eyes are still set on fall. πŸπŸ‚

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee:🌻

Regular August day predicted here with a high of 89F/31.6C and no chance of rain. I'm with, @CallMeKate, on anticipating autumn! My favorite season! After all this heat, the cool breezes of autumn are going to feel wonderful. πŸƒπŸπŸ‚

@CallMeKate, at least you know the difference between your vim and your vigor. I'm completely lost! :ROFLMAO:

@Kaila, it's going to be fun looking for Purple Finches in the spring and autumn, here. :)

@RadishRose, so nice that you had a visit with grandson, baby and your little dog. :) I remember giving a peach to my middle son when he was just a baby and how cute it was to watch him mush away at it. πŸ€—

Well, it's the usuals for me today and within that, I've embarked on a very important Animal Crossing quest I must attend to. 🀫

Hope everyone woke feeling hale and hearty this morning. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•
