Actress Loni Anderson dead at age 79:

WKRP in Cincinnati Loni Anderson died Sunday at the age of 79, her rep said.

Anderson, who played a struggling radio station´s empowered receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the hit CBS comedy, died Sunday, just days before her 80th birthday.

Anderson, who was married to late Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds from 1988 thru 1994, died at a Los Angeles hospital following a 'prolonged' illness, said her longtime publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan.

She's just as pretty in the latter photo without looking "plastic". Loved her in WKRP.

She couldn't seem to keep that "Fame and fortune" thing going to well. I liked her. To bad actors can't write their own parts. This was a surprise to me. I get her and Dolly Parton mixed up sometimes. They both have this larger than life persona. I don't believe Dolly had a thing for Burt Reynolds, did she?

Her role was unusual. Ordinarily you would have expected her to be cast in something like Bay Watch, but on WKRP, she was a glamour queen surrounded by mostly nerds. I kept thinking, "Couldn't she find a better job?"
