At dinner out with the entire family last night most everyone ordered the salad with their meal.
My oldest son had ordered one also but there was something different about his.
His came out presented as a lettuce wedge not chopped. I had not seen this in decades.
Of course it being different everyone had to comment on it. Then he explained.
"I never eat a chopped salad because I don't know how long that has been chopped up and sitting
in the air to dry, gather dust and other things in the air. A wedge they won't cut until ordered and even if they do
it's packed tight and less vulnerable than already chopped".
The whole table got quiet, eyes got big and "Wow, that makes sense" began popping out.
I think there will be an increase suddenly for wedge salad now.
Yes you do have to cut/chop it yourself. It came with dressing on the side.
Another way I guess, to show how we take convenience of less work over being a bit safer in healthy habits.
