How are you today?

Well that "feeling good" didn't last very long. Pooh. One of those Ocular Migraines found me. The jagged dancing lines... hate those things and I've never seen a cause, even from medical sites. What I know is that I've noticed over the years that often I'd been rubbing my eyes within the past 24 hours, and that applies this time, too... the Canadian wildfire smoke has been affecting my eyes, so I rub even though I know I shouldn't.

What surprised me is that it's come up a number of times here at SF and I was completely surprised at how many of us get these. It's not a literal migraine "headache" for me, but my eyes have an ache during and after.

Try preservative free eye drops. They might help.

Those ocular migraines always scare me. I was always told to go to a specialist right away if I saw flashing. I was terrified by these until finally told what they are. In fact it wasn’t the specialist who told me, it was the optometrist I saw two weeks later.

I remember how terrifying my first one was... it was like 25 years ago now. I just take them in stride now and wait for it to go away. Fortunately it's generally not longer than half an hour but the ache can last longer.

@Trish The soldier is actually a nutcracker, as in Nutcracker Suite ballet.

According to that famous musicophile, Dr. Google, The Nutcracker, Op. 71, is an 1892 two-act classical ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, set on Christmas Eve at the foot of a Christmas tree in a child's imagination featuring a Nutcracker doll.

How am I this morning? Gosh, it's really too early to tell. My coffee hasn't kicked in quite yet.

Yanno those pharma commercials on TV? I don't pay any attention to them...they're just background noise...but last night I happened to turn the TV on when the voice-over was reciting all the side effects. Whatever was being advertised "shouldn't be taken by the elderly." Hm. It occurred to me that I'm "elderly"! I thought I was just old, but nope. Elderly.

Oh...those side effects? One of them is death. :poop: happens.

Today is laundry day. Why do we keep doing stuff like that over and over? The clothes are just going to get dirty again. Like dusting and vacuuming. Wait a week, and it has to be done again. And again. >le sigh<

Gotta greet the day and get started optimizing and maximizing and stuff.

Oooo! I almost forgot to mention that way back in the way back, when I was much younger, I was in the Nutcracker. Yup. I was a daffodil in the Waltz of the Flowers. My "leaves" were long, shoulder-length green satin gloves. A vision. I was a vision:ROFLMAO:
Oh thank you! I haven't been to many ballets but, we did once go to a Christmas show which was a medley of ballets which included the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. :)

I’m relieved today. My brother in law finally found a job. He’s been unemployed for 9 months and about to lose his beautiful home. Now he has 2 job offers. We’d offered to help him out financially but he declined our offer. I’m so happy for him. He’s a good person.
You're a good person. I can't imagine anyone offering us assistance like you did. How wonderful! I can almost bet your brother in law is so exhausted from his past stress. I hope he gets at least 48 hours of sleep, relief and peace of mind before he starts his new job. What an absolute weight off of his shoulders. I don't know him but I'm so very proud of him. You're wonderful Peppermint. My absolute best to you, him and his family too boot.

Thanks Pauline, Maybe his luck is turning around. He must be exhausted but relieved as well. He has a week before starting his new job . It’s a remote job so he gets to work from home. I’m so happy for him.

Hey! Can't imagine? Who just asked if you're gonna need bail money? :ROFLMAO:

Heck, I'd even drive the backhoe if you need...er...."space" dug up in your back yard.

After all, what are friends for?
