We started out our married life with furniture and appliances from Sears & Roebuck.
My house has a very active sump pump and I typically get around a year out of a pump. I always used Sears Craftman brand pumps because they had a lifetime warranty, it was great, I'd take the old one in and they'd had me a new one. I bet I went thru 15 pumps before they dropped the lifetime warranty on their products, I was sad.lolWell, we all know what happened to Sears. It was run down by it's CEO. The Kenmore and Craftsman name sold.
End of an era.
I ran HP until they merged with Compaq. I got to say though that last computer sure did fly, especially when I tossed it out the damn door!HP computers. I have been buying them since they were branded as 'Hewlett-Packard'. Using three HP laptops now. Anything else I don't mind switching up.
The nice thing about Craftsman lawn tractors is that parts are very easy to get.35 years ago, I moved from an apartment to a 1 1/3 acre place. At that time, the most trusted name in lawn tractors, etc., was Craftsman- Sears. Every powered thing in my shed is Sears. The tractor still runs. I religiously check the oil once a decade.- you just can't kill it.
I'd laugh but we're on our third Kitchenaid refrigerator in the 26 years since the house was built. I'm not loyal to Kitchenaid but it's the only refrigerator that fits in the large "built in" area of our kitchen. They are really nice until they break down. So, when the last one went out and we waited for a replacement we bought a "dorm refrigerator" that we set up in the kitchen. It actually held enough food for several days, although using plastic ice trays again was a trip. It is right now in the master bedroom closet just in case!
Do you think Sears became an insurance company instead? Tyson Foods, Chicken & Turkeys gone too?We started out our married life with furniture and appliances from Sears & Roebuck. In time I happened to start working for Sears and sold lawn and garden tools and then appliances. I always knew which were the best to buy so we still have a Craftsman lawn mower 25 years old. Our frig and microhood are at least twenty years old.
I still have a treadmill, dehumidifier, air cleaner, two vacuums, many power and hand tools, all still running.

Did Maytag move from Iowa to Mexico? My grandparents always seemed to buy Maytag brands for anything.
Thinking about this it occurred to me without really planning it, I tend to always
buy Speed Queen washer/dryer sets.
