I'm beginning to think negative thoughts

I take a centrum multivitamin everyday and I have all the necessary vitamins: A, B, C, D...etc. AND, I will not overdose any of them, which reduce the risk of overloading kidney fuctions.
And they certainly can, because your kidneys have to pee most of it out. Your body only uses 1% to 13% of the vitamins in a vitamin pill. I'm not saying we don't benefit form that, but most of it does go to waste.

Our bodies use way more of the vitamins in a vitamin injection. I don't know why. But that's why, when a hospital (for example) is treating someone who's malnourished, they give vitamin injections, not pills.

@hawkdon
I can only share what I know about COPD I have a friend who was diagnosed with COPD in 2006, she's still with us.
I consider myself fortunate to have had an early diagnosis, I was advised to use Air Physio, it won't do anything the lungs but it does strengthen the diaphragm and allow stronger breathing. I do 15 or 20 minutes per day. I'm sure it helps.

Thanks to all for responses to my "poor me post"!!!! haha
I am already feeling better, a lot of the issue is just unable to
do things that normallly would not be a big deal, you know,
get the kitchen cleaned, make the bed, walk around...lately
I have felt at times that my legs are ready to just give up and
collapse!!!! I know that this weakness is due to what I eat,
and lack of excercise of any kind,/.// I do use a nebulyzer for
COPD treatment, but thats all....I can walk about 50 feet if
I push it, but carefully, however once on my feet i can only
last about 10 minutes before my hips lock up and I have to
sit or risk a fall.....I may just blow some savings and buy a ramp to use my Bluestreak on, then I could get outside a bit
as long as temp is reasonable....anyhoo, thats enuff of my
crying....thanks to all of you, bleieve it or not just typing
about this has helped...thanks gang!!! ! :cool: :p :love::giggle:
Thinking of you and adding my caring, Don.
I thought there was alternative funding for a ramp?
Does it simply take much too long waiting for that, and lots of forms or red tape?
Or did you find out that it isn't available, after all?

No, it's taurine, an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body, particularly in the heart, brain, eyes, and muscles. But taurine levels in the elderly can diminish or weaken. Taurine supports heart and muscle function, protects cells from damage, including damage due to aging, and helps maintain electrolyte balance in your individual cells.

I often buy the caffeine-free ones.
.. and selenium for your cells

Some agencies are out of money already this year, but a friend
is talking to a church organization, that helps out senior and
such...so will see what happens....
hawkie..here's some links which may be helpful....in getting someone to install the ramp....

Keep your chin up... once you can get around a little more easily, things won't look anywhere nearly as bleak 🤗
Holly, thanks for the links, I've already sent an email out to
one of them....will see what happens.... :giggle:

THANKS RAKAIA, I'VE NEVER KNOWN ABOUT THIS, I WILL
GO TO MY BREATHING DOC AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT SOME EXTRA HELP....THANKS...

about my life....what I mean is, the past few weeks have been particularly
rough for me.....the COPD espically, the heart of course is tied to that and
dunno what is in store in that respect...but also my shakyness continues
to increase, and my walkability is reduced greatly lately....add to that is
a feeling of tiredness all the time, no desire to do much of anything,....just
a general feeling of malaise.....ah hell this too shall pass, right?!!:devilish:
Sorry you're having a bad time hawk. I wonder about if we get the same effect when summer gets long as we do when winter gets long. It's time to breath some crisper, dryer, autumn air. Shorter days and longer sleep. Be well my friend. 🤗

I can totally relate, @hawkdon, and I know what thoughts you're talking about. Speaking for myself, I despise being useless. To me, being useless and being needed are two very different things, and I am still needed. That's why I'm still here.

What gets me through the day and keeps me in good spirits about it is one or the other of these:

The main ingredient in both is B vitamins. I drink one every morning, and sometimes another at around 1 or 2pm.

It probably sounds hokey, but they really work for me. They boost my energy level and my mood. They just make me feel good and give me a positive attitude. And they're harmless.

Try one. Just try 1, see how you feel.

Oh!...but according to my doctor, people with high blood pressure should only drink the caffeine-free ones!
I have really considered those. Harmless you say?. I'll check it out. About 5 pm I couldn't keep.my eyes open. I must have looked like a bobble head sitting at the table.

Most doctors will probably advise against these based on the label saying "energy shot," and without even knowing the ingredients. I went over the ingredients and the amount of each one per bottle with my doctor, and she said it's all harmless. She did caution me about the ones that contain caffeine and sugar, even tho' I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes, but they're available in caffeine and sugar free formulas.

The only difference I noticed with the caffeine-free 5hr shot was that the good feelings last for about 3 hours instead of 5. My experience is that they even help with my back pain. I'm sure that's because it helps me focus on other things - it improves my concentration and gives me the energy to do projects, so it helps with my pain in that way. I guess you'd say it distracts me from my pain. For hours!

Murrmur mentioned having local senior services help you with your ramp...good idea.
In my little town, we have Veterens that take care of stuff like that for the elderly folks. See if may be you have an organization like that to help you. I'm sure they're just waiting for your call... 🙂

p.s....if i knew where you lived, i'd chk for you.

I have negative thoughts all the time. Fortunately, I am still in good health.
But I don't know what I would do if I am seriously ill. I don't have friends or families. I don't even have an emergency contact. I think I will just live independently as long as I can. Then, ....
