What happened to the spell checker?

When I am typing here, the spell checker doesn't work anymore. Maybe if never worked here and I am conhused. So do we have a spell checker with our typing here?

The spell checker actually comes from your browser, if it isn’t working, please check your browser’s settings:

• In Chrome: go to Settings → Languages → Spell check and make sure it’s turned on and that your preferred language is selected.

OK, I am using "Brave". Here goes the test. sytnhetic synthetic Test complete and is now functional with spell checking.
