Just for Fun What's your Inner Nationality?

Hollydolly, I know this is a fun thread and you didn't mean any harm. With all due respect, I have to say that being half German, and loving my father deeply, I was a bit offput when I first read your comment about German's having charm. I just hesitated to say anything at first. I know what Cookie means here, and I have to agree with her, and some others here of German descent likely are feeling the same.

I don't see that as American traits although I do go out of my way to be helpful.

SB, as I said already my grandfather was German, and I know even he would have laughed.. there was no harm meant, and really I'm sorry that some people felt that this was offensive...it wasn't intended as such and I'm sure most people realise that!! Like I said I'm scottish, we're the butt of many jokes, and if a similar comment had been made about my people on a fun thread I would have taken it as a joke...if I really wanted to slate Germans I would have started a serious thread about it, I wouldn't and I won't.....it was simply a fun comment.!

I'm sure Holly was just throwing out a commonly accepted stereotype to be funny, that came out the wrong way.
I think we all know her well enough to know it was not malicious.
 
I am of German heritage, my Grandmother spoke German and immigrated from Germany in the 20's. I still maintain the thread was absolutely harmless and did not warrant the fuss. EOM

I expected a nonsensical result, got it, but then felt immensely better when I read further that Nancy had also scored similarly! Don't buy into horoscope or such, but this cleaves of another kind of "loaf"!
