Ha ha ..... It just occurred to me that this is the senior version of "pillow talk".
Anyway, I suppose many people have a love affair with their pillow. In fact some even have full body pillows, but it's hard to find a lot of actual evidence that the material the pillow case is made from contributes to wrinkles. There are some studies (Few and small) that do reveal a correlation between materials and outcome, but in some claims they may be a bit exaggerated.
From what I understand the logic is this: Mechanical friction against the face can cause creases that are most noticeable when you first wake up and look in the mirror. Over time they can become more pronounced and voila .... wrinkles. However, the secondary factor is absorption. Cotton tends to absorb more moisture from the face, and less absorbent materials, not so much. The more moisture the skin retains, the more elasticity it has.
It makes sense to me, but maybe any material that helps you get a better night's sleep may have the same effect. IDK
