How are you today?

Plumber has been and gone. I told him there were words that I didn't want to hear: "We have a problem." So he didn't say those words. Aside from replacing the bathroom vanity faucet and clearing the shower drain, he had a look under the kitchen sink because I asked him to. He said: "You have a problem." LOL Turns out it wasn't just a leaking u-joint. The whole darned faucet is kaput. Sigh.

I've ordered another one. It only comes with a 5-year warranty because it was cheap. If the lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, it'll live longer than I will.

I'd have liked to get a Pfister or a Moen but not to the tune of $350 and up. Heck, I even saw one for more than $850.

DD came home for a little while. There was an Aldi on her way so she stopped and scored three huge mums @$2.49. There's just one thing, though. All three are positively starved for water and wouldn't have lasted another day. I'm in Garden Doctor mode right now, and they are in intensive care, sitting in big plastic sacks to soak because I don't have any buckets.

Very, very tired. I think I overdid it today. Gonna feed Maggiecat and then spend the rest of the day on my arse.

Haven't done a darn thing, waiting for this weather to break.
Looking out my window now at some leaves falling but sadly
not pretty yellow and orange ones, need a frost for that color
to show. Too hot to go out and clean them up just yet.

Asked hubby hours ago to think what he wanted for dinner.
He just grunted and went to his PC :ROFLMAO: So I guess Pizza is it since
no idea what to thaw out. These kind of days make me feel old.
But not to worry I still have energy to laugh!

Before retirement we had an ironing fairy, but nowadays I do the ironing. Do you use a sleeve board Trish? It's perfect not only for sleeves but getting the yoke pressed is a lot easier with a sleeve board.

I do @horseless carriage, actually I have two - one narrow and one wider. They are really useful. I also have a Tailors ham and a sleeve roll which, I bet, your wife also has in her sewing cabin. :)

A little better than yesterday, thanks for asking :). One thing about being under the weather...I sleep better.

I did way too much yesterday and will try to dial it back today. There's really nothing that can't wait.

Waiting on word from DD if DGD will be coming home today. The original guesstimate of when she'd be released was a week from the second surgery. That's not until Thursday.

When it gets light outside, I get to check on my "dead" mums to see if my Dr. Garden efforts are working. 🤞

Can I ask what the problem is? I'm not an expert but I have used Google Calendar for years so maybe I've run into the same problem?
Woke up this morning and the logic came to me. The Gmail Calendar displays on my ipad, and iphone calendars. Some jerk in China had sent an invitation in notifications and it displays on my Apple Calendar. As soon as I tried to delete it there, the invitation would pop up showing my full name and address. This mail account is shared with my husband. He went to Google and didn’t see the answer. This morning I woke up and checked to see if he’d gone to Google Mail. He hadn’t so I deleted the two invitations.

Still wonder if they caused any problems. There are reports lately saying the Google Calendar is vulnerable to attack. Creeps.

Thanks for the offer to help.

I admit I wouldn't have been much help with this as I'm out of the "I" loop. Glad you got it figured out. :)

Bad news about attack vulnerability. Yeah, creeps.

Lunch with son was great, as it always is. Got updates on his trip to Calif. last week and how my gr-son is doing.
He seems so much happier now, got his closing date on his house Oct 15. I have not seen him this happy
and self confident in years. The divorce sure freed him from a lot of stress. We stopped at Lowes and he
shopped for laundry machines. Cute to watch that! Gr-D and Grt-gr-son came too, baby and I took a walk so Mommy
could eat her lunch :ROFLMAO: Gooood Day!

Impressed you can wash him! We have a Boxer, short hair, and have to send him to the groomer. It's just too much. 😱😂
Thanks, and no doubt. He's a giant puppy even though he's 8 years old now. Just a hairy beast but a sweetheart too boot. While he's out drying off, I sweep the inside of the house. Just yesterday? Only swept up about a couch pillow full of hair. I just have to mention this.

There's a nice young couple in the neighborhood that walks their 2 huskies daily. One unusually small and one just huge. My husband spoke with them today and mentioned once again how pretty their dogs are. They said thanks but they're only allowed in the backyard or on a walk. No indoor nothing. Made me feel bad in a way as our Bear is with us indoor or out all of the time. I guess to each his own, but I couldn't imagine our dog not being allowed in the house. Kind of cruel if you will. Just my opinion.

My day just got brighter, Son called for lunch date in a bit and that is always
a priority over anything else. ✨🌈
That is absolutely fantastic. I can't even fathom. We're getting ready to take care of our son for the next 2 days. Never look forward to sheer hell. I feel like I'm going to hell so I'm privy to say that. Please excuse.

I know this is a separate forum post, but it was a part of this good day. I watch things like Mare town, Big Little Liars, etc. Out of the blue I found a short series called the Girlfriend. My husband would kill me for saying this, but he got a glimpse of the 1st episode. Sat down and sure enough finished that binge with me. What? I'm still in disbelief. I hope all of you have a nice next 2 days. I'll be too busy watching my son for whom knows no fear, I'll be dodging here and there and losing my breath for 48 wonderful hours. Speak with you when I speak with you. Take care.

I'm alive and better than yesterday. Woohoo and stuff.

DGD is home and settled in. After lunch yesterday, she took a "nap" that lasted until around 6pm. There will probably be lots of naps in the next few days. There's a lot to be said for sleeping in your own bed.

Today is errand day. DD and I are Walmarting because I discovered that there's $75+ left on my Kaiser healthy food card that has to be used before the end of the month. It doesn't carry over, and Walmart is the only grocery store where it can be used. Kroger used to accept it but stopped. Nobody knows why.

I'm doing nothing before we go except emptying Maggiecat's litter box and taking a shower so that I don't use up what little strength I have. This mystery illness has sucked out my all energy and left me a 98-lb weakling. Well. A 115-lb weakling.

Yes, it is sad. :( Dogs are so wonderful and only want to be with their people. :(

Like your Bear, our Lucius lives in the house with us. We don't have a fenced yard so he's taken out for walks a minimum of four times, daily. He's a wonderful friend to have around. Silly clown of a dog. ❤️ 🐶

You made me lol with your "couch pillow full of hair." Holy cows! He sounds like a cuddly guy. 🤗

Well the suns shining here this morning , so that’s a good start ….planning on sowing sweet corn seeds today , not that we’ve got allot of room for growing veggies but we make the most of what we have .

When we sold our home in the city in 2004 and lived / traveled in our caravan , I was hanging out for the day I could just walk out in-my garden and pull up an onion / pick parsley or mint , in warmer months to tomatoes 🍅/ cucumbers / eggplant/ capsicums .

And now with spring in the air , I’ve got all that planted for another new season of chemical free veggies 🌽….and not forgetting my fruit trees

Ive just planted lettuce in the new upright garden bed hubby made for me to grow sensitive ( to hot winds / burning sun ) veg ~ like lettuce

It's a good day! I had jury duty yesterday, and out of 300 people, about 20 of us made it without being called to a court room.

My civic duty accomplished, I hope they forget about me for a few years! :ROFLMAO:
Thank goodness, I've aged out of jury duty. Once you reach 75, you can request to be taken off the rolls permanently. I have done so..

At my age, I'd be sitting there in the jury box and then...."I'm sorry, Your Honor, I need to go to the little girl's room! Yes, I know that's the third time in an hour, but........" "I'm sorry, Your Honor, but can I get up and walk around a little? I have a terrible cramp in my right calf." "I'm sorry, Your Honor, but can I go back into the Jury Room and get the Tums out of my purse? I have some bad acid reflux from that lunch we were served. It won't take more than a minute!"
