My dad had Golden Lab seeing eye dog, not as skilled as his original dog, was a good pet though.
I know some people scoff when pet owners say losing a pet is like losing a family member. When I had to have my 17 1/2 yr old lab/shepherd mix put down, it was like losing a family member to me. I had her cremated and her cremains sits in my foyer. I already have my funeral arrangements made out with a mortuary, and they know that when I die, her cremains are to be buried with me.
Happy 14th Birthday to the boy dog, Mason, today !!! Whelped 18SEP11
From power naps on the leather throne @ Fort Sofa, to striking poses like he’s auditioning for “Dog’s Next Top Model,” this guy proves that age is just a number (and that pillows are for royalty). Here’s to more snacks, belly rubs, and giving the mailman side-eye for many years to come. Love ya, buddy boy !!!

Giving a good side eye must be a Pitbull thing. Pippa my Pitbull gives the best side eye of any dog I have ever had.
Coming in after hearing “COOKIES!!”
Sheldon the red merle Catahoula/Pitbull on the left is also 14 and has been with me since adoption as a yearling. Pippa the blue Pit Bull on the right is about four and was confiscated by a local shelter from a puppy mill. She was putting pups on the ground while she was still a pup herself. She is always happy & joyful-joyful.
