Well I’d be better if we got a bit of warm weather ….here we are into Oct and it’s still cold …. forecast today 17 c

My hubs has a dentist appointment today, I’m glad it’s him I hate going to the dentist , my B.P rises to over 200 …at the mere thought of any appointments , and he’s so gentle

Might do food shopping after his appointment , we had a 1/2 of a sweet potato baked in the oven and topped with ham / cheese / asparagus / with a touch of tangy Greek yoghurt a couple of weeks ago ( served with crunchy mixed cabbage ~ purple / green ) , grated carrot it was delicious …

so I might get SP today to make it again tonite …I had intended cooking a full SP each but I’m glad I didn’t …it was sooo filling just having half a small one

Had to get up at 3:30 this morning to drive to take care of my great-granddaughter who can't go to school because of pinkeye.

I got on the highway and marveled how light the traffic was. Oops, spoke too soon. Blue lights ahead. Upside-down car in the road, blocking all lanes. Luckily, the cops were directing cars to pass in the breakdown lane.

Sheesh, 4:30 in the a.m. and traffic problems. Orlando.....

I was making bad chicken jokes today at the supermarket and I got sent into eggs aisle.

I was fine. Then I clicked on a recipe website on my homepage and fell down the recipe rabbit hole. Now I'm just hungry. >le sigh<

Some of the recipes were for breakfast foods. I should share them with @jujube since she's already hanging out in eggs aisle.

Much better than yesterday! Spent almost all day in the ER with a skin infection due to immunotherapy. Thought I would just get a script for antibiotics but oh no,they wanted IV meds and a CT scan. THEN I got the script. Eight hours later they released me.

Much better today though-might just survive after all lol.

Decent day with cool weather. Managed to clean the stove really good. Hubby made peanut butter cookies and chocolate chocolate chip cookies.Sigh so did not need these. but Soo good

The weather atm is grey and a bit chilly. I have been so busy rushing around this week and fighting off a cold so, today I plan to rest.

Doing well. I had a physical on Monday. Blood sugar is good. A1c staying down. Cholesterol up but triglycerides and blood pressure normal. Nothing to complain about.

I thought it over for a couple of days. Then I did it. I dusted! And vacuumed.

Now I'm thinking about whether I really wanna go out and deadhead stuff. It really needs doing, and tomorrow's gonna be a wintery kinda day.

At the moment, I'm quite happy. Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), is probably my favorite holiday and a few years ago I started collecting the Barbie Dolls.

My birthday isn't until the end of the month, and honestly I hadn't thought about it, but when Lucius and I got home from the afternoon walk, there was a package waiting for me.



This year's doll. Took a while to get her out of her box, but that's okay; I made a cup of tea and enjoyed the process. She's just beautiful.



My husband is a sweetheart. Made my day.

I've been adjusting to a new blood pressure medication. It makes me a bit dizzy and wobbly. That seems to be getting a little better so far. I don't like having to take this kind of medicine. I'm taking 2 different kinds of blood pressure medications. They make me more tired too.

The good part is that now my blood pressure is very close to normal, even a little below that.
