Good morning @Kaila and co. Had a good catch up with my friend yesterday but before she arrived, I went to light the gas fire but not a flicker from it. :rolleyes: I remembered that I hadn't changed the starter battery since I got the fire (about 2 years ago). Only problem is that it meant getting down on my hands and knees to change it. I made sure I had a foot stool nearby to help me back up if need be. :ROFLMAO: Fortunately, I did manage to change it, and to get back up again... and the fire lit straight away so.... relief!!

Bit of a dull morning here but I'm going to force myself out for a walk even if it's only round the block.

So pleased your session was helpful for you @Kaila. 🫂

I’m happy to learn your appointments are manageable. You’re doing well with sticking to them.

The weather is cooling down. My husband starts the fire in the morning to take the chill out of the air. We have spruce and birch to burn..We usually use the spruce to start the fire and the birch to keep the fire going throughout the day.

A medical appointment wore me out yesterday, and I just could not rebound today. 🙁🙄🫤

I hope for some healing sleep tonight, and maybe a better day, tomorrow, Saturday.

My goal is a short but important errand.

Hope you manage/d a decent sleep @Kaila - it can certainly make a difference.

Grandson not working today, so he may well pop round with his dad but that won't be until afternoon. I've got my optician's appointment this morning. Going to get ready in a minute, take a walk down the road and get my newspaper before getting the bus into town. Stupid really, as I don't read the paper, I only buy it for the crosswords and word games. :ROFLMAO:

Do you order new updated glasses, at that same visit and location?
Does your newspaper have just a few of the puzzles, in each issue?
Or is it several or more?

How often is there a new newspaper, if you know what I mean?😄

Thank you, Pinky. I do take my very necessary rests during the day , and sometimes a short nap, but not a deep hour or more, even when I feel I need one like that.

I did get some overnight sleep, which did help a little overall.
I highly valued the improvement this morning, despite not as much as I need.

I was able to get dressed and do a few small tasks. And the 1 errand for fish.

It's incredibly gorgeous outdoors. Autumn is spectacular here. I'm glad that both dh and I, got outdoors, for that short outing.

Nuthatches and finches, chickadee and small downy woodpecker, at our window feeder, today.

Back home after a couple of days away.

The original plan was just one day. Even tried to add another day a couple of times before we left home. Sold out. Decided to ask as we were checking in. First answer was no, then wait, then yes. I’d just packed breakfast, lunch and snacks for one night. How did I gain weight in two days.
