Are you a sensual senior?

Maybe this thread was meant to trick others into talking about sex. If we accused the opening poster of stepping over the line, he could always say, "That's not what I meant. It's the rest of you that have dirty minds."

So I'm going to need some clarification about the meaning of the question. Not saying I'll comment, either way.
I guess I'm just naive, I didn't read it as someone asking if people were comfortable with having a senior on the side for cuddling and kissing in addition to their already companion. I read it as asking if people were interested in someone new (assuming they had no one) and if they were, were they adverse to kissing and cuddling a senior as opposed to what? Someone younger? He's got me there. I'm not sure what he's comparing it to.

I have thought about it.
I believe, it could be a very nice experience. But if someone already has a partner? Kissing and cuddling is not adultery but what if you can't just stop and it goes further? Is all this worth it? I doubt so.
Just a lustful look at a person is adultery. Kissing and hugging is adultery.

Matthew 5: 27You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

I don't need to start up a new relationship after being a widow some 16 years now. I sometimes, whilst lying in bed at night unable to get some sleep, I do think about old flames and wonder if they could still be alive and if we did hitch up how would it have turned out.
I didn't marry until I was 66 yo so I had a lot of old flames. Unfortunately (on the top of my head) I know of four that have predeceased me. I was only with one of them at the time of their demise. I can only think of two others that I went with who are still alive. They are nice men, but I would have been miserable in a long-term marriage with them and I'm sure they probably feel the same way about me.

No. I never was a push over at any stage of my life.
All the elements of what is or should be has to be felt by me and a partner.
Grab and feel is not something that I giggle at, or take as flattering, it will most likely land something
up alongside one's head.
If a person suggested this to me I would automatically be thinking,
"Does he really not know and respect me at all? and likely avoid further contact even if I was single.

No, for me it is not.
Only for people who believe what is written in the bible. I don't believe a single word of it.
You dont believe a single word? Interesting. You posted this the other day on the baptism thread.

"But I don't think that it makes a difference at all regarding the realm of heaven if someone is baptized or not."

You have a secular worldview but you dont mind borrowing from the biblical worldview when it is convenient. Isnt that called hypocrisy, lying, or both?
The word heaven appears in the bible 421 times. The oldest writings about heaven available to man
came from Jesus Christ telling us about it in His 66 books of holy scripture!

Psalm 53:The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

Romans 1:
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,g in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

26For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Did you come here to judge us? Are you God? Or is it just @George1959 ?

I don't know if you did copy and paste for the biblical quotations. If not, it's a pity, that you've wasted so much time, since I didn't even read them.
You believe in the existence of God, I don't.
You use the bible to define adultery, I use the law.
You are living your life, I am living my life.

No need for further arguments.

Stay healthy!

SEX.

There I said it. This forum is full of old people stuff, but sex is a topic I don't see much on. Cuddles and kisses? Sure, whilst at other times I want my own space. But sensual to me means more than a cuddle sometimes. It means intimacy.

We're not teens any more, so I get it. :D
So many might say what you posted is what some may think but not say. I'm new here but admire your honesty.

Pointing out truths isnt necessarily judging? It is usually those that are feeling convicted that say things like that. Your flowers are yellow! OH NO! I pointed out another truth. :ROFLMAO:
I've never been a convict. The "truths" in the Bible are not the same as facts. The flowers pictured are yellow -- that is a fact. What the Bible says are not facts, unless you can prove them with real evidence, not just faith and beliefs. Like the evidence that is admissible in a court of law. Chew on that for awhile.

Apparently there has been a recent uptick in rude, abusive or personal attacks, as Matrix has bumped his previous post on the subject:

Personal Attacks and Rude Posts

Yes, if expressed by this definition I found online of a sensual person: "They are mindful of and find pleasure in things like the taste of food, the feel of a fabric, or the sound of music. While often linked to sexual appetite, the term can also describe a general love for physical experiences that are not necessarily sexual."
I feel better now if I start considering myself a sensual person. A misunderstanding might occur since most people may not have read the full definition of a sensual person!
