It's fun. The best thing is the people, also the spaciousness. The worst is the long winter --the ice and the cold.

Sounds like a nice place to live. My Mom and Dad spent their honeymoon in Vancouver. I went a few years ago with some friends to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. It was a great experience.

I grinned at the quiet part. I am too but somehow I ended up living in the insanity of N. VA for 8 years. I'll say that for the past 20 years I've lived in much quieter life.

I also left Long Island decades ago and went to Virginia with my husband's job. I was delighted when he got a promotion and we relocated to Rhode Island and then CT. Now I'm in GA, but coping.
