The arctic blast unfortunately is going to be felt everywhere clear down to Florida to varying degrees.

I am in southern middle Tennessee. The temperature right now is a very nice 69°. I was outside in shorts and a T-shirt. By Monday I will be dressed like the Barn version of the Michelin man. we’re supposed to go down in the 30s Sunday night and into the 20° on Monday night, probably with the windchill. There is also the possibility of freezing rain.

it’s not that big of a deal as long as people don’t have to leave the house, but I have two horses to care for. One of which is 30 or more years old. These wild temperature swings can easily bring on colic because horses have the worst digestive system of any domestic animal on the planet. I already have him on a gut supplement. hopefully that and loading them up with hay helps.

People with cattle still have cows in the field that are calving where I live. such a huge swing in temperatures is not good for the livestock.
