Had a ballpoint I used at my desk for jotting random stuff, finally give out of ink and I went looking around for a refill or replacement.
Discovered I have six(6) Cross ballpoints in various flavors and I really do like Cross ... I guess.
But Cross refills just don't seem to be as good as they once were decades ago and I don't know why.
Maybe because refills are made in China now ... or maybe just my imagination.
Regardless, I decided to try a Scriveiner and tracking says it will be here Tuesday. Refills are from Germany.
So on my desk, I use premium ballpoints. Not to say I haven't used inexpensive ballpoints that I've enjoyed.
The standard issue ballpoints when I was in the military were really good. Bics were okay too.
Others may chose roller ball or fountain pens but I prefer ballpoints.
Could be it traces back to having to press hard when filling forms in triplicate.
Not that I do that often these days but can't do that with a roller ball or fountain pen.
Maybe you just use whatever you happen to stick in your pocket from the bucket of pens at the dentist or doctors office
... some of those are good too.
But right now I'm on a tear to find a good replacement ballpoint and interested in what the senior crowd has to say. Thanks
