What's for dinner ( or lunch )

haha, well that was someone else's fish & chips, but mine (tho, not quite as pretty) was delicious!! I need to work on my tarter sauce. I got some in a bottle and it was not good. I've made it before, but for some reason - I don't think I'm good at it. :)
I make a simple 2 ingredient tartar sauce....some good ole mayo and either dill or sweet pickle relish. It works and I like the taste.

I'm baking yams. I got the time by googling. 375 oven for 75 minutes. First I washed them and poked a few holes in each one and then I wrapped them in foil. Each
one that is . I'm waiting for them to finish.

Then also I will have fresh blueberries in plain Greek yogurt. I already had a brat on rye.

For lunch today, I'm eating chips and queso. Don't judge! I don't care that neither is on the list of stuff I can have. At least the chips say "lightly salted." Oh...and the chips aren't tortilla chips, they're potato chips. The bag says "made from real potatoes." Say what? What else would potato chips be made from:rolleyes:

It's almost 8pm and I still haven't had dinner.

I had Mac & Cheese with chopped bacon last night......

When I got home from the physiotherapy today..I had a cheese roll, because I hadn't eaten since yesterday...

.. and now I don't know what to have for dinner..

Choice between Oak smoked trout with some some taramasalata... ...or maybe Tagliatelle

I've been saying I'd make tuna casserole for the past two days but haven't done it so far. I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich today, so that's what I had. The rest of the posse can fend for themselves because I told DSIL I'd make a pork tenderloin and roasted Brussels sprouts for dinner tomorrow. Maybe the tuna casserole will get made next week. Maybe.

It's a good thing I keep my bread in the freezer. I looked at the twisty thing that closes the wrapper. It said use by 9/29/25. Takes me three months to use a loaf of bread.

Add a little paprika.

After defrosting the freezer and being very late for lunch, a Swanson’s single chicken pot pie was discovered. I don’t know when I bought it, only that it must have been on a deep discount, because I can’t remember the last decade I had something that. I started to pick away at it and then decided I liked it. Not Epicurean, but I still liked it. This would have been ideal for eating while at a TV table, like those in yesterday’s thread.
