It's rough being broke.....since money is pretty tight right now we'll probably just be having fried baloney sandwiches for both Christmas and New Years dinner.

We are fortunate to have a pig farm within a 30 minute drive. They raise and slaughter several breeds of pigs.Any ham I've bought the last couple of years was tough and flavorless. I got some of the super thin sliced in the deli section and it was okay. I'm probably having a Cornish hen for Christmas.
Many people have turkey for Christmas. My parents said it was too close to Thanksgiving to have it again. Mom usually made some kind of roast for the Christmas meal.Lord only knows what is being planned for here, but if I see another turkey, I am prepared to shoot the chef.![]()
