hahahaha... we retired to Spain more than 20 years ago.... and we were there 10 years, but there's a lot of things we couldn't get in Spain, or deal with easily... so we came back... still got the house tho', but it's up for sale as part of the divorce settlement ...This looks to be a definitely a very scary situation. I hope they come to their senses and do the right thing.
I have very dear friends in the UK, I truly hate to hear of them having to worry.
I would not be surprised to hear one of them say, "Retiring and moving to Spain"
He's been playing with the idea for sometime now and he and his wife make friends easily and he's hadhahahaha... we retired to Spain more than 20 years ago.... and we were there 10 years, but there's a lot of things we couldn't get in Spain, or deal with easily... so we came back... still got the house tho', but it's up for sale as part of the divorce settlement ...

This happened in November and was said to have blocked 234 streets, although that number is not verified/So, did that not happen there then? Is it a bogus made up video?

so much is AI crap....I agreeThis is why I hate sharing anything online anymore because so much of it isn't even real. It's gotten to the point where I basically ignore it all anymore.
well thank you for loving us... and I agree we are going through the worst of times currently.. but that tractor thing never hapened.....if that puts your mind at reast a little bit...UK seems to be in the midst of a major social readjustment.
I love Great Britain and fear for its future.
The only good thing I guess out it is, we know know it's just not the American Media misrepresenting/or slanting the facts maybe. This is why I hate sharing anything online anymore because so much of it isn't even real. It's gotten to the point where I basically ignore it all anymore.
..and there's going to thousands of people who will believe this after watching that video wherever it originated... and it's all Baloney !From AI :
The video describes an imagined or fictionalized scenario of a major farmer protest in London, highlighting a conflict between the farmers and the government over tax policies [01:04]. It frames the protest as a desperate "siege" against a government that has allegedly abandoned the working farmer, leading to widespread chaos and supply chain failure [07:53]. The commentary frequently criticizes the Labour party's financial policies, stating they would rather see "the shelves empty than admit they miscalculated the resolve of the rural working class" [13:05].
,,and none listed for the UK cuz it never happened.....Evidently many of these protests happened in many countries 1-2 years ago, not right now.
Someone chose to put this one out there like it just happened. None listed for 2025 in Wikipedia
those were after the news article on Wikipedia about the one in UK. In fact there were several in UK in different cities from what the main article,,and none listed for the UK cuz it never happened.....
..but not in tractors !..at least not in their dozens.... much less hundreds......I live here I know this....those were after the news article on Wikipedia about the one in UK. In fact there were several in UK in different cities from what the main article
November
On 19 November, thousands of farmers gathered on Parliament Square in London to protest against the planned agricultural inheritance taxation policies. The National Farmers' Union (NFU), through its president, Tom Bradshaw, promised sustained protest activities until their concerns were adequately addressed. The organisation characterised the tax measure as having "disastrous human impacts" on farming communities.[1]

exactly ...not hundreds , not even dozens.. and not even today or yesterday not even this month.....Arrests at farmers' central London tractor protest
Several arrests were made as farmers drove tractors into central London for a Budget day protest over plans to put inheritance tax on farm businesses worth more than £1m.
More than a dozen tractors could be seen parked outside Parliament on Wednesday morning, with rush-hour traffic brought to a standstill and farmers repeatedly sounding the tractor horns while police stood watching.
David Gunn, an arable farmer and agricultural contractor from near Sevenoaks in Kent, said: "Inheritance tax is going to cripple the farmers, the small family farmers."
A government spokesperson said: "We are backing farmers with the largest nature‑friendly budget in history with over £2.7bn a year to grow their businesses."

Tractors drove through central London in a protest over inheritance tax
In Wednesday's budget the chancellor announced spouses would be able to transfer any of their £1m allowance before inheritance tax kicks in between partners.
So if one partner dies and only uses part of their allowance, the surviving partner could have an allowance of more than £1m.
