Learning How To Live Life

I found two games that I played on the switch on xbox. One is called Lake & it's a game where this gal covers the mail delivery for her grandpa or something for 2 wks.

Then she has to decide whether or not to stay. I enjoyed it immensely on the switch so I got it for xbox.

I'm looking into things to help with my sinuses. I hope they help.
 
I'm awake and I have coffee. That's all the further I've gotten. My ride called in Friday and then he's not working today either so I hafta call Uber to get to work. He says his gout is acting up. I have no idea. His gout hasn't bothered him all year until now? IDK.

I got bits and pieces of sleep last night. I'm gonna get some fluticasone to use sparingly for my sinuses and start buying those breathe right strips and see if that helps so I can get some sleep at night maybe.

I had a nice relaxing weekend otherwise. I played some of the postal game I had gotten. They have a holiday addition right now so I am playing that. Hopefully back to the classic version. Also there's an endless one now too. I gave up on the Sims 4. It's just too frustrating trying to play it and figure out how to use the controls. By the time I was done last night she had 2 frickin jobs. I couldn't get rid of one of them so I said the hell with it.

We have a couple warmer days on tap then back to the cold.

I haven't watched Tulsa King yet, but I'd like to.

I think Billy Bob needs to kick his wife out along with the daughter. OMG, he has his hands full. It was interesting hearing his background with his parents. With that already full house, I wonder where Sam Elliot is going to stay.

I also see a lot of trouble ahead with Demi if she goes into business with the drug dealer. I'm still trying to figure him out as to what his exact job is with the cartel. It didn't dawn on me that he was the one that shot the one drug guy that kidnapped Billy Bob character at the end of season 1 & he was the one who let him go. There was the one previous episode where he told Thornton that "you owe me" after he talked to him about getting Jr. involved with him.

I just about died laughing when he was trying to explain to the wife why the ride to the funeral was gonna be unpleasant. The second time he said it I just about spit pop everywhere. 🤣

Also Sam Elliott it quite an interesting actor.
 
That was a good part too! There was so much happening with is family in this one.

The prior episode was pretty good. I couldn't figure out what the guys wild hog hunting had to do with it, but then they all started to drop like rocks. Those workers showed up & everything was good until they found the bodies then they tried to get the h#ll out of dodge when they realized what happened. I wonder what's going to happen with the one worker still in the hospital. Since he was on top of the tank, I'd thought he'd be okay but he got it the worst.
 
so tonight while i was working to earn my $16 an hour this tech/aide that makes $2 - $4 more an hour than me parked her fat ass on this chair when she got to work at 7 & never got up once. even to go to the bathroom. she dozed off twice & was still sitting there when i left the unit at almost 11. she was brought from another floor to help out. the nurses were having to clean their own rooms because of this...

it is 7:15 am and i should be sleeping but i'm still battling with this upper respiratory infection so i'm gonna call the pulmo office in about 45 min and see about getting another round of antibiotic and some steroid and see if i can get this thing kicked. if he's willing to provide the meds that is. if he says no i'll just hafta wait til it gets worse and go to the ER.

so far he's been taking pretty good care of me so we'll see. i refuse to call the primary and ask him for s**t. i hate going to urgent care cuz nobody knows me there and they won't listen when i tell them i go through this stuff several times a year. they get kinda snarky with me.

so i'm gonna have some coffee while i wait. after i call his office i'll try to go back to bed for a bit.

**update phone call was made and i'm gonna try to get some sleep but at this point it's doubtful.

Ended up having an anxiety attack this morning & got a ride with EMS to ER.

Sinus infection set off the anxiety attack. They gave me 10 mg of valium. I shoulda stayed home and slept but I dragged my drugged up ass to work. LOL

Been kinda stoner-like all day. LOL

But it's kicking my butt now so I should be able to sleep tonight. I have a smaller dose to take for a short while if I need them.

The nurses thought it was funny and so did I. LOL

I gotta take one more antibiotic with some food before bed. I have to crush it so I'll probably add some sweetener to some oatmeal to put it in since I have no pudding.

Then I will pull the blanket up and watch tv on the couch til I fall asleep.
 
Having my coffee and my "tainted" oatmeal. I forgot I was gonna split the oatmeal in half so I had to add the whole damn pill and just mix it up and split it so I can have some tonight when I get home. I don't know if it will continue but the Augmentin gives me tremors throughout my entire body. Said online it's a mild but rare side effect. Leave it to me to get the rare one. :rolleyes:🤣

I will see if it continues to give me tremors or if they ease up. The pills are huge. No way in hell I could swallow them. Unless I had a death wish. I was watching my tremors in the mirror and wondering if I looked like a drug tweaker.

I didn't do the world's best job of cleaning last night but I showed up and did my best considering the state I was in. Made me glad I'm not a druggie for sure.

I was on here last night before I left work and one of the threads was so funny it sent me into sillyville. I was crackin up so bad I had tears in my eyes. Didn't take me long to get tired enough for sleep. I slept some with the cpap on and the rest on my own and slept pretty good. I took another 1/2 a valium before bed. I will have them with me but won't take them unless I need one.

The lab is growing some cultures on a sample I had to give them to make sure I have the right antibiotic for whatever is going on here. If not I guess they'll call me and let me know and get me the right antibiotic. 🤷‍♀️

I work today and will be off tomorrow. That will be nice. I might work on one of my Assassin's Creed games tomorrow.

To be more accurate about last nights post...that bed bug was like the size of a grain of pepper from the shaker.

Having my tainted oatmeal and a diet soda. Too lazy for coffee right now. Just literally climbed out of bed. I ordered a handful of necessities from Walmart to come between 1 & 3 pm. If my sinuses continue to give me grief after the antibiotic is gone I may hafta give up my cpap therapy because that just makes it worse.

I have dishes to wash and some laundry to do. I also need a shower. Other than that I have nothing else to do with my day. Work is having a Christmas party dinner catered for all of us on the 22nd. Just the basic meal of turkey, mashed with gravy, some vegetable and a roll. If we want beverages or dessert we're on our own. 🤷‍♀️

Since the new gal took over as director while the other one waits to retire they now spend a lot of time threatening to fire us for this that and the next thing. It's starting to get old really fast. I get damn tired of coming to work and being threatened with my job all the time because they suck at doing theirs. They can't seem to manage us so they try to use fear as a tactic to make us straighten up and fly right. :rolleyes:

According to information online they're creating a toxic work environment which is a no no. But going to anybody with it is pointless because they won't do anything about it. They don't just punish the guilty ones they punish us all as a group. If I didn't need this job I'd pick a day when they start threatening again and just turn and head back downstairs to gather my crap and clock back out and leave.

Maybe I need to start playing the lottery. LOL

working on my tainted oatmeal and preparing for another work day. if my sinuses don't get any better i'm gonna hafta to see my primary and see if the ent is still over at the clinic where the pulmo doc is. maybe they can figure out what's wrong and help somehow. i'm sure if i need surgery our insurance will consider it cosmetic and won't help cover it though.

i decided to give the sims 4 one more shot. i have zero patience with things sometimes. patience isn't one of my virtues. i now have 2 separate games going. starting to get it figured out. although there isn't much in the way of your sim being able to go anywhere like in sims 3. the expansion packs are $40 and not that great. i bought one that was $5 that was some goth clothes for my character. lol! i gotta fix the computer set up because my sim in the one save is refusing to sit down and use it. a spacing issue i think.

i would've played more games yesterday but i was cold and tired so i mostly watched tv.

i was looking at my work schedule and i'm off on my bday next month. :love:

I'm not sure what is going on with my sinuses. It may be a deviated septum and a gal i work with said a relative had the surgery for that and it did no good. It may just be overuse of medicated nasal sprays. I've been trying to get off those.

The valium has helped. I am sleeping good as long as I don't use the cpap which really aggravates my sinuses now.
 
My husband had that surgery years ago & for him it was great. He went from 5 or 6 infections a year down to 0. A lady I worked with didn't have any luck with it at all. I've either hurt of good results or none & I'm not sure why. It's supposed to open up your nasal hole to allow for better drainage so the mucus doesn't stay there to get infected. His was a very small opening & he said when he got done, even with the surgery swelling, he could breath.

If you have it, I hope it works well for you.

If it doesn't work and insurance doesn't cover it I'll have thousands to pay back for nothing. Not sure i wanna do that. I don't have thousands to waste. Thanks for the info though.
