Is there a piece of ‘outdated’ technology you still miss?

Copper wired telephones are very reliable. The apartments where I live were built with no possibilities for standard phones.

I miss the days before music started being recorded digitally. Music in the old analogue days was far better.

That said, I like having a digital audio workstation on my computer and having the ability to record my music. It's one of my main hobbies now that I'm retired. I can even pitch correct my own vocals to make it sound like I can sing. 🤣

I had a text pager for a while, the service was more than it was worth. That plus to send a text you still had to use a phone to call an operator, so those text messages weren't terribly "private".
We could send to an email address and it flowed automagically through.
