Beautiful blue skies and sunny day here in my corner of northwest England. I'm about to head off to eldest son's for Christmas Dinner. Have a good day all.

A gloomy, overcast and cool day, but it COULD be much worse. I remember in 2002, there was a blizzard on Christmas and the following New Year. It seems like I only shoveled snow for those holidays. Back then, I had a LOT MORE to shovel. A cousin asked me how I was managing the snow and if I hired someone to plow. I said that I can't see paying someone to remove something that will be gone eventually. He told me about power shovels. From his description, it sound like something between a manual shovel and a snowblower. However, that would just be something else that wouldn't work when I went to use it.
 
Unseasonably warm here. We should see a high of 68° maybe even 70° in my area. Same for Saturday and Sunday.

Monday morning, we are predicted to be unseasonably cold with a high of 38° for both Monday and Tuesday.
 
I was just outside to get firewood for the evening, overnight, and tomorrow morning. -9C/24F. When I came in, the the temperature spread between outside and inside temps was 33*C/59*F. Overnight forecast is for -13C.

Not that this is the coldest geographic spot in North America. But tomorrow I'll not only be wearing a thick-weave shirt, I'll be switching from my long underwear to my thicker ones... and good thermal coat when I'm outside.🥶
 
We've been unseasonably warm even for down here. Yesterday the high was 76 (24C) and the low was 64(18C).

Right now at 6:22 pm it's 67.(17C)

We're supposed to get another cold snap in a few days.
