How does ISIS get all of those Toyota trucks?

You might have noticed that they seem to have an endless supply of these pickups. I checked with my dealer and he said that he didn't sell them any. How about your dealer?

But they need trucks to carry the weapons and ammo...

How does ISIS get all of those Toyota trucks?

Forget the trucks, who's supplying all the weapons and ammo?

I don't know if anyone has answered this in the other comments yet (just noticed the thread) but it's my understanding that besides Qatar and the Saudi's 'helping' them out with financing and medical aid, the weapons and stuff given over to the 'friendly' Syrian rebels are going with them when they desert for the ISIS team. And then of course, there's the goodies they pick up along the way when they over run an area. Recently the Pentagon air-dropped 50 tonnes of ammo and such in the desert with the hope that the right guys would get it. Wonder how often that happens?

To be 100% accurate in what I'm writing here I'd have to go outside and find my brother and ask him details. But I know 2 or 3 years ago his daughter talked him into buying a new Ford pick up with all the bells and whistles. So he had a white, Tundra, which I'm almost sure is a Toyota pick up to sell. I can't recall how old it was but he put it on Craigslist for $10,000 and my husband and I were thinking, "He'll NEVER get that much out of it. So he got a call from a man asking him all about it.

A day or two later he got a call from the same man to meet him at a big airport an hour or 2 from our house. We were in LA and would be getting back after dark, so my brother went down to the airport alone. The man he talked to had a middle eastern accent but so do a lot of people around here, that didn't seem strange.

The appointment was originally for daylight hours but then the man called and said his relative's plane was going to delayed and changed the time to quite a bit after dark. My brother's daughter is out of state and she kept calling telling him to NOT go, put the meeting off till my husband was home to go with him, his son here in California was upset too but he couldn't get up here to go with his dad. We were all afraid they would give my brother the $10,000 (he would only accept cash) and then after they got away from the airport, take the money away from him. (We hear about Craigslist crimes fairly often).

So what finally happened, he left the title to the Tundra here at home, put a pistol under the seat of the pick up (And yes, he knew that it was illegal to take a loaded pistol onto the airport property) , and went down to the airport. He refused to pay the $2 or whatever it costs to go into the parking lot so he just went up and parked at one end of the airport where you rent cars. He called and told the guy he was there and then when the man's relative's plane landed they were going to come out to meet my brother. So he's sitting there and sees some armed airport security folks, and a dog, and 2 middle eastern men coming to his pick-up and he thought "Oh-darn".

To make a long story short, I don't know why they stopped these men but they said they wanted to make sure that it wasn't a drug deal. So my brother gave them permission to let the dog go through his truck. NO ONE is more anti drug than my brother.

So anyway, all the time he was praying the dog wouldn't find the gun, and it didn't. So then they ask him a lot of questions trying to determine if it was true he really had a truck for sale. He did NOT take the title with him as he figured that would make it harder for them to get the truck and money both away from him. After 30 minutes or an hour they finally let them all leave. The 2 men got in the truck with my brother at the wheel and drove through the dark and fog up into the mountains, he said the 2 guys acted a little nervous wondering where he was taking them and who would be there at the end of the ride. One guy kept his hand on the door handle the whole way up. And there are some really huge drop offs up here, some over 1,000 ft and my brother is a horrible driver. I'm sure those guys were sweating bullets. By the time he got here we were already home wondering what was going on and why he wasn't back yet.

Finally they arrived and went back to my brother's 5th wheel (he lives in our back yard) and they gave him the money and he gave them the title but one thing he thought was strange they didn't care that he took the personalized license plates off. Legally they should have left the truck here till they went to the DMV and got license plates for it, but they didn't care. What upset my brother was they told him they wouldn't be licensing it here in the US and so I can think of no legal way they can take it out of the country like that.

They did not try to get him to come down on the price and they asked him if he knew of anyone else who had anymore pickups like that for sale. They said they especially liked Toyota's and they had plenty of cash. He asked where they were taking it and they said, I forget the country but it's in the middle east. They said those pick ups do great in the desert. If I go ask my brother which country he'll ask me why I want to know, so I'm not going to ask. I might later. Sorry if this has turned into another one of my long boring stories but at lest this time, I think, I was able to stay on topic.

Yes, how often are we a part of something that we HATE? You know? Sometimes I feel like just crawling under the bed and not coming out.....except I won't fit under there. :)
