Is this true? Don't the food taste soapy?
I saw that somewhere recently.. I think your question is important. Is this true? Don't the food taste soapy?![]()
yes... of course it's true.. we even leave the food on the plate and wash that too..so we can eat it later nice and clean with added soapy bubbles....Is this true? Don't the food taste soapy?![]()
You do now and I just turned 80 and still up n about and I dont rinse but just drain n drip!I don't know anyone who washes their dishes by hand who doesn't rinse them....
I would think so..My mom always washed the top of plates. Don't you need to wash the bottoms as well?
I dont always rinse things - never gotten sick in any way from this.
But everyone has their own way of doing it.
well in fairness i don't know you... plus you're not in the uk !You do now and I just turned 80 and still up n about and I dont rinse but just drain n drip!
I think it could. Some people overuse dish liquid like they do laundry detergent. Is this true? Don't the food taste soapy?![]()
Yes, it helps to have compassion for others. Of course, some people who rinse would not want to eat at anyone's home where they don't rinse.Depends, some do and some don't. Different families have different ways of doing things, and some bother to rinse, while others just leave the crockery and utensils to drip and air dry.
I do, even though they are rarely dirty underneath. They could still have germs from someone lifting the plate, and babies food-grimed fingers picking up their plates. My mom always washed the top of plates. Don't you need to wash the bottoms as well?
Well answered, Holly. A reputation based on scant experience can amount to quite a distortion. What if Canadians' reputation was Canadians all play ice hockey, walk with snow shoes on their feet, have gerbils as pets, are bilingual (English and French), and insult goofy teenage boys by snarling "ya dumb hoser!"?yes... of course it's true.. we even leave the food on the plate and wash that too..so we can eat it later nice and clean with added soapy bubbles....
It's no more true here than it is anywhere..
The trouble is you get someone visiting the uk from the US or some other country and they stay with friends or a family, who have certain ways of doing things,...no rinsing dishes is one example.... and they go back to their country believing we all do the same thing...crazy!
I don't know anyone who washes their dishes by hand who doesn't rinse them....
Oh that's a new one to me.... the gerbils, I;d not heard that before lol..... now is it true that you all say ''eh''....?Well answered, Holly. That's a good way of explaining it.. like if a couple of people do something, it's assumed 'everybody' does it.Well answered, Holly.
